I am a hair dresser and I have honestly never ever heard of that. Maybe if you use the wrong kind of round brush, you might get it stuck in your hair then it will fall out. Hair dryers can damage your hair, but most likely won't. all you have to do is use some kind of heat protecting products in your hair before you blow it dry. hope i helped!

I'm a freelance hairdresser %26amp; it's absolutely NOT TRUE that your hair falls out from using hairdriers.
If you use a hairdryer to dry your hair on an extremly high (hot) setting....it could certainly damage your hair....but that would be quite extreme.
When drying hair the dryer should be held so as to point down the shaft of the hair %26amp; take care not to tug at knots but rather comb wet hair...not brush (especially don't use a nylon brush on wet hair) %26amp; always comb hair starting at the bottom %26amp; work your way up.......holding the dryer wrongly along the hair shaft can cause split ends which would cause your hair to break off....NOT fall out.
