What to feed a cat whose hair and skin seem a bit dry?

I have a six-year-old female cat. Spayed. Her hair and skin feel drier than my other three cats' does.

She will eat ONLY dry food. The others eat a combination of

canned and dry. She drinks as much water as the others do.

She is not losing her hair at all, and does not have any rashes or bare spots. Her hair is very thick, all over - just dry.

She does not appear to be ill in any way.

Should I put a little vegetable oil on her dry food?

I'd rather treat her from the inside (via diet) than apply something to her fur from the outside.

Any suggestions?

If you go to a pet store, there is a product that you can give your cat that restores the oil in their bodies...it also has other things added that can help your pet. I found it to work great and I own 8 cats. You don't have to give it as often as it recomends...use less than what it tells you.

What to feed a cat whose hair and skin seem a bit dry?

well what i think you should do is ask a vet

What to feed a cat whose hair and skin seem a bit dry?

ask a vet and buy your cat some of that cat food that says it will give your cat a smooth and silky coat

What to feed a cat whose hair and skin seem a bit dry?

How about applying hair conditioner than human use?

What to feed a cat whose hair and skin seem a bit dry?

If your not feeding your cats science diet, you should, you can find it at any vet or pet store... if you'd rather do supermarket, feed them iams or purina.. all the other stuff is like feeding them mcdonalds.... if that doesnt clear it up get some omega-3 fatty acid liquid for dogs and cats.. your vet will have this for sure, if the petsore doesnt.. squirt that on the poor cats food.. dont worry they love love the taste :)

What to feed a cat whose hair and skin seem a bit dry?

There is a product that you can buy from your vet called DermCap Liquid. It smells really fishy and you can either squirt a little in your cat's mouth or mix with a little of her dry food.

When I fed Hairball food to my cats, I noticed that their hair got pretty oily so, that may help.

It could be the time of year if you are running heat in your house. My cat gets a little more dander than usual in the colder months. You could add water to the air in your house by running either a vaporizor or a humidifier. Also some cats are just softer than others like people they are all different.

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

I am 6 months pregnant with my first child and I was curious what type of hair she would have.

My Husband:

-My husband is full Swedish(He is from Sweden) and him and his whole family have straight blonde hair

Me:

-I am half Swedish, a quarter African American, and a quarter Native American and I have light brown hair with very lose curls. And everyone on my Dads side(Native American and African American) has Dark Brown tight curly hair, on my Moms side(Swedish) she and all her family have straight blonde hair

Thank You for your help :)

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

Wouldn't it be great if we could know what color eyes and hair our children will have? Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing because it truly is luck of the draw and which color genes are more dominant over the others. Good luck!

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

The texture I am not so sure, usually dark hair will outweigh the blond, but it could have straight or curly hair. If it is blond it won't be tight curly, but the chances are it will have dark and curly hair,

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

technically you wouldnt know till birth but i would probably think it would come out brown....

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

depends if your hair gene is recessive are not. if the sweedish one isnt recessive your kid will probably have blonde hair but if it is recessive your kid will have brown hair. Id say 60% blonde 40% brown

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

I think dark hair is the dominant trait but I'm not sure about the texture. I have naturally wavy hair and my husband's is too but only one of our kids has curly hair. Both my brother and his wife have curly hair but their son's is straight. I do know that the hair your baby is born with will not necessarily be a good indicator of what they will actually have later. Good luck with your pregnancy. I remember having lots of fun dreaming about what my kids would look like too.

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

It's hard to say for sure but the genetic factors would say that the baby has the greatest chance of having brown curly hair and brown eyes. There is a 25% chance that the baby will bear the Swedish traits. The darker hair color is dominant as is the darker eye color. I would bet my money on light brown wavy hair and light brown eyes. The baby may be born with jet black hair or hair so light it is invisible or even none at all. Most babies are born with blue eyes that change to their adult color sometime in the first year. You will not know what the baby will look like until the baby gets closer to two years. So, you have two years of guessing and comparing pictures to enjoy before you will really know.

Hope that helps

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

toss a 6 sided coin and you might be right. no one will be able to tell you, just enjoy a happy and healthy pregnancy.

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

I have seen anywhere from blonde tight curly hair to strait black hair and anything and everything in between. Cant really count on the type of hair but you can count on having a beautiful child! multiracial children are always beautiful!

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

perhaps dark blond hair because you have brown hair and he has blond hair.....just a thought :)

Hair loss, transplant helps???

i m talking bout the middle and the corner, but the hairs are thining so bad at the corner and i can see the difference between the middle hairs and the corner hairs...it's soo thin...%26gt;.%26lt; someone please help...i m getting a high forehead now...i heard if there is a treatment called transplant...somethin using the back of ur hair and transplant it in the front....anyone have more detail??? and how bout the price? i really donno how to deal with my hair loss...i m losing confidence now....

Hair loss, transplant helps???

Very mixed success with transplants. So dependent on your body accepting the hair in a new location.

Bosely for Men and Hair Club are supposed to be the best.

Last I knew $10,000 and up was about the coast. Sometimes these kinds of these get cheaper, but usuaaly it goes the other way.

It's not a one stop operation either. You go back a few times.

Hair loss, transplant helps???

I was balding fast during my last year of High School. I was eighteen and It was horrible. I understand your panic, but you need to learn to accept baldness before spending a fortune on repeated transplants--many of them don't thrive and they have to be done over and over. The pain is extreme. I tried two treatments and decided I had to embrace what I was and how I looked, as God created me and over some time, I have grown to be happy with the way I have handled it. Hair on the head is not a trademark for impotence or failure. Stop panicking and learn to love yourself. OK?

Thinning hair in chihuahua?

my 3 year chihuahua has been gradually losing his hair. He doesn't have any bald spots but seems to be thinning especially around the side of his head and body. Recently I've been noticing dark spots developing all over his body and head some look like freckles and others are the size of a pencil eraser. He doesn't act sick but now I'm beginning to worry if something serious is wrong with him please help.

Thinning hair in chihuahua?

Definately see the vet about this. It could be the food or an allergy or a thyroid problem. I wouldnt wait any longer, see the vet asap. Good luck

Thinning hair in chihuahua?

I would take a trip to my vet to find out the problem. Without seeing the problem it's impossible to tell. Seeing none of us are vets even if we could the best we could do is hazzard a guess.

Good luck./ Hope it's nothing serious.

Thinning hair in chihuahua?

Take it to your vet for some test it could be food allergies or something he is being bath it or about any thing just go see that he is not sick

It has been 33 years since my chemotherapy at age 16 and i am starting to lose clumps of hair from m

Go see a doctor, don't rely on answers from here. Hope it goes ok.

It has been 33 years since my chemotherapy at age 16 and i am starting to lose clumps of hair from my scalp. ?

Go see a dermatologist. Also have your blood checked and see if you have a thyroid problem.

It has been 33 years since my chemotherapy at age 16 and i am starting to lose clumps of hair from my scalp. ?

That can possibly be a vitamin deficiency or, if you've taken any new medication it can be a RARE result of that. Check with doc.

It has been 33 years since my chemotherapy at age 16 and i am starting to lose clumps of hair from my scalp. ?

You do need to check with a doctor about this because it could be anything. Just last week, though, there was a piece on the news about how people who have chemotherapy as children can later develop health issues. Losing hair was not mentioned, but because you have been through chemotherapy it would seem very important that you talk with a doctor about this.

I don't know how old you are, but women can lose some hair after menopause. Also, as an example of how easily hair loss can occur, I once was prescribed antibiotics for an ear infection, and three days into taking the medication my hair started to come out in the comb without any pulling on it whatsoever.

(For all you know, it could be entirely unrelated to your chemotherapy treatment and nothing more than a skin condition, but check it out..)

My hair!!!!!! its annoying!!!!!!?

Ok so I hate my hair because my hair is naturally lose and curlyno i try to use curling iron to create waves in my hair my hair is kinda long and really think but i have reallf fine hair i want to use velcro rollers but i have no clue on how to use them..... and what are some velcro rollers that you guys recommend that work great? what are my steps to creating like lindsay lohan type waves??? Thanks

Jessica閳?br>My hair!!!!!! its annoying!!!!!!?

Hi,

I have a beautiful body wrap, and I use velcro rollers. I use Vidal Sasoon. They are great, and they work for any hair type. I am a woman of color, and I have thick fine hair. The rollers create beautiful loose waves if I use the big rollers, small tight curls if I use the small rollers, and a wavy layered look if I use them all together. You would want to put the bigger rollers in the back, the medium sized rollers in the middle, and the smaller rollers at the top. These rollers work for any hair type, because I have some caucasion and hispanic friends, and I have rolled their hair up as well, and it came out great. If you want the curlier look, leave them in for 15-30 minutes. If you want the loose wavy look, leave them in for 5-10 minutes. Oh, I forgot to add that these are the rollers that heat. You may want to have the hair salon cut you a few layers in your hair for more body, tell them to cut the layers long. You can find this at a local pharmacy or Walmart or Target, and the price is about $20-30.

i dont know but more hair seems to fall out if i skip washing one day.. normal?

thnx tons

missy

My hair is falling out?

It is normal for the average person to lose up to 100 strands of haitr a day. You're probably wondering, "Geez, where does it fall out at, and why don't I have bald spots if so much falls out?" I don't know; but if you feel you are losing more than that, you may want to look into using a more conditioning shampoo with herbal essences in it.

My hair is falling out?

im not really sure. my cousin has this medical condition where her hair falls out - nothing serious. not sure what its called though

My hair is falling out?

my hair does the exact thing.. i think its just cuz everyone has to loose a certain amount of hair a day and you probably just see it all when your in the shower because your messaging your head...haha

My hair is falling out?

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

When i brush my hair every day i probably lose like 20 or 30 hairs and when i straighten it some comes out so how come my hair is just as thick as it has always been and im not gradually going bald? I mean you dont grow like 30 new hairs every day...

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

There are estimated rates of 100 - 150 hairs lost a day. Hair that is shed is replaced in the next growth stage.

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

u hair aboiut a zillion hairs on your head and u only lose about a hundered a day. u do the math. plus your hair grows back!

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

that's a good question i've always wanted to know this too

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

hair is always falling out, but luckily it is always growing back in as well! So there is a balance, not just a loss!

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

You loose about 50 -100 strands a day. It is normal. I wonder the same thing sometime. I should be bald. . .Thank God I am not.

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

because u have 294638649264 hairs so 4000 hairs a day isnt that big

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

its normal for a person to loose about 100 hairs a day! Proved !

Why can you lose lots of hair every day and not go bald?

Its due to balance between falling hairs and new arrivals, like our population

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

I've heard that you can tell what your hair will look like by looking at your mother's father's hair. Does anyone have the evidence of that? Or at least some article?

BTW I'm only concerned because my mom's dad starting losing his hair at 19.

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

It's not a proven fact by a long shot. It's disproven merely by looking at the many examples of people who do not have the hair of their maternal grandfather. I'm one example. My maternal grandfather had completely white hair at a very young age, and a slightly receding hairline. I've yet to get one white hair and there's not even a remote sign of it receding.

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

Well, your hair is hereditary and you cant controll it, goto www.wikipedia.org and find an article

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

Hair loss and genetics

Researchers suspect that several genes inherited from both parents play a role in androgenetic alopecia, and paternal hair loss has been shown to correlate with chances of alopecia in sons while variations in the Androgen Receptor gene (AR), which can correlate with baldness, are X linked and thus inherited from one's maternal grandfather or grandmother. Androgen receptors allow the body to respond appropriately to dihydrotestosterone and other androgens. Studies suggest that variations in the AR gene lead to increased activity of androgen receptors in hair follicles. It remains unclear, however, how these genetic changes increase the risk of patterned hair loss in men and women with androgenetic alopecia.

The inheritance pattern of androgenetic alopecia is unclear because many genetic and environmental factors are likely to be involved. This condition tends to cluster in families, however, and having a close relative with patterned hair loss appears to be a risk factor for developing the condition.

In lay men terms, it is the gene passed down from the mother that determines baldness in men, aside from any other physical reasons for it. This does not mean that you will go bald as your mother may or may not have passed that code on to you. Only time will tell.

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

Well, it's sort of true.

I have a black mom and white dad, and my hair is in between of kinky and straight hair. I have curls that tend to frizz easy.

And I have a copper "glow" in the sunlight, just like my father.

So if your father started to lose hair at 19, I would definetely eat healthier. Take brewers yeast supplements and eat darkgreen vegetables a lot. Whole-groats are a perfect way to get extra vitamins.

Healthy hair and scalp start in your stomach, so take advantage of the fact you live in the 21st century and can feed yourself with all the healthy stuff available!

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

women carry the bald gene. chances are good that you will go bald early, or you might have a full head of hair until you die. there is no way of really telling. my brother in law is going bald, yet my husband and his other brother both have full heads of hair. you never know.

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

hair loss in males is inheireted from their grandfather on their mothers side, so to judge when or if you'll start balding, look at when your mother's father did.

Is the mother's father's hair a proven scientific fact?

Everyone loves trying to predict if they will be bald or not and if so who's fault it is........

The whoole 'father's%26gt;mothers theory.....is the case in about 45-50% of the cases.....which means you have a 50-50 shot which means it all just comes out in the wash - anyway........right?

What I can offer you is ......research and studies I have been working on for last 20 years with a more concentrated effort in the last 6 on obtaining a healthy head of hair and keeping it that way.

My main rule:

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN TREATMENT...

so your inquisicion comes at the appropriate time,

But I promise you there are a few steps on there , that are not a real inconvenience - they could make all the difference in the world to the future of your hair {loss}.....( like Step 7 "shampoo" )...it just happens that nobody is aware of them

Another step ( a very important one) is Stress and relief of it in your life, when signing on to participate in the program via the Internet....there is a contract that must be signed ...everyone must commit to...10 Steps -- Solid for 90 Days...

I have a very hgih success rate 86%.... its not easy...it takes commitment. ...starting at your age.......

you could ave yourself a lot of headaaches by at least tackling 1/2 the steps now....

Will my newborn baby lose or keep her hair?

I had a baby 3 weeks ago and she was born with a THICK head of black hair. We're pretty shocked since both my husband and I were bald babies, and neither of us has black hair. Any experience with this?

Will my newborn baby lose or keep her hair?

My daughter was born with not loads but quite a bit of dark hair. Fine, I thought - my hair is brunette and my husband is dark red. A few weeks later, she started to lose her hair - in an 'old man' baldness kind of way (!) but within a couple of weeks, it all grew back through, very blonde!

Now, aged five, she has the most amazingly thick blonde hair with very subtle natural red streaks in in - people are always commenting that they pay a fortune at the salon to get a colour like that!

You'll have to wait and see what hapens with your little one - what fun!

Will my newborn baby lose or keep her hair?

My son was born w/ hair and then only the top part fell out so he looked like a little old man lol...it was funny, but seriously there is no telling...my sister was born w/ full head of hair and she never lost it and still has it to this day.....it just depends on the baby!

Will my newborn baby lose or keep her hair?

:-) bless her.

I don't think the bald/hairy thing is genetic - and babies' hair changes so mcuh in the first few weeks anyway.

my second daughter was born with quite a lot of dark hair, which has already lightened at 4 months and has mostly fallen out.

With laying down and general daily activities (!) the hair from birth is often lost a bit and changes colour a lot.

I'm sure anything could happen to your daughter's hair! :-)

Will my newborn baby lose or keep her hair?

My last baby was born with a head full of hair. She is now 3 1/2 months and still has it all, she never got the bald spot on the back of her head some babies get. She spent 1 1/2 wks in the NICU and all the nurses got a kick out of her hair, her bangs looked like they were already cut when she was born. At 2 wks old she had to have her first hair cut, her bangs were in her eyes.

Some babies lose their hair, some don't. And sometimes when it falls out it comes back in a different color all together.

Will my newborn baby lose or keep her hair?

my son had thick balck hair all over his head when he was born, then it rubbed off and left the tiniest bit at the back, now he is quite fair, but its getting darker as he gets older, which is confusing as both my partner and i have very dark hair.

Will my newborn baby lose or keep her hair?

my daughter was also a shock as she had thick black hair also and both myself and her farther are blonde i was a bold baby - she did in a few weeks lose her hair , i was quite scared when she started to lose it as i did'nt know why she was loseing it.

she is now 3 and has nice blonde hair which is very fine

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

Everytime I am in the shower and I rinse my hair with conditioner, small clumps of it fall out in my hand. I know it's normal to shed, but I'm not sure if it is normal for so much to come out. I guess I don't brush my hair often though because it is wavy ...:/ Any input?

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

Yup. I don't brush my hair unless it gets super-snarly--once it's dry, I touch it as little as possible, and I remove all the dead hairs when I wash it.

As long as you always lose the same amount of hair, you're good to go. If you lose way more than normal, then you should go to the doctor--it could be hormones or some kind of deficiency or disease. If you brushed your hair a lot, the hair would come off on your brush. But don't brush your hair--frizz bomb! Just get a little drain cover thingie to catch the hairs (you don't want a clog) and don't fret! That'll make more hair fall out (ha-ha.) Seriously, I lose a ton of hair in the shower and I'm not bald yet, so don't worry.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

if clumps are falling out its probably most likely not normal

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

losing clumps is definately not normal, you might have alopecia or something, can be caused by stress

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

No, I don't think that's normal.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

no, i usually lose about 5-10 hairs...but my hair is straight

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

no clumps of hair don't fall out. talk to your parents about it because that's not normal.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

My Friend Chitankinfuckin Lee does.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

you might wanna go to the dermatoligist or tlk 2 ur doc or even ur mom! u might have a serious problem!

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

My mom had this problem one time you should get a different conditionair before all your hair comes out. It's problably an allergic reaction. Try Pantene?

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

well if there is a lot of chunks coming out you should definitly tell your doctor and see what they say but small strands thats fine and very normal ok so dont worry unless they are chunkies!

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

i do. it's anamia %26amp; general weakness. eat healthy %26amp; don't get so stressed out. that problem will go away.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

i get clumps of hair too and i thought that it wasnt normal, then i talked to an expert about it, and he told me that you dont need to worry abt how much you shed until you have small hairless patches...so unless you dont have that, you dont need to worry abt. it cuz its normal....

; )

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

Happens to me all the time. I think all it is is just dead hair. As long as your keeping it the way it should be kept, there's not really anything you can do. Just try and only wash your hair with shampoo like 3 times a week, that might help. And before you brush your hair while it's wet, use Pantene light leave-in conditioner. It smells great and when you comb your hair while it's wet, start from the bottom and work your way up to the top. Good luck with your problem.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

If you wear you hair up alot, you might be wearing it too tight causing you hair to break.. I had this problem, I started to wear my hair down alot more and it quit dramatically! Also, if you use alot of chemicals in your hair or you straighten it or curl it often it can cause hair to break.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

Don't worry. Large amounts of hair coming out like that is normal. I would only start to worry if you're seeing patches where there is less (or no) hair. As long as your head of hair is intact, there's nothing to worry about.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

If your hair is getting long and you don't brush it during the day, pretty much the only time your stray hairs are going to come out are in the shower. This may seem like alot but it could be normal. I've noticed alot more hair comed out int he shower lately but it's just that my hair is much longer now. A friend used to have this problem. she was stressed out a bit and her hair thinned quite a bit, but if she put her hnd through her hair when it was dry a good few strands were falling out then too. so if you don't then you're probably fine. Her hair stopped thinning a few months later and grew back just as thick. If you'r really worried ask a doctor. hard to know what you mean by alot here.

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

my mom had that same problem when she was with her abusive physcho ex-boyfriend. as soon as they broke up her hair became normal again, long and thick. try to find out what you are so stressed out about and if you fix it your hair probably wont do that any more. you are definitely way too stressed. good luck

Any of you girls lose a lot of hair in the shower?

You are probably under too much stress. That is one of the main reasons why people lose alot of hair.

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

ok so here is what happened : about two months ago i starved my self for like five days but after that started eating normally again ,

and i have cold hands and feet . i don't understand why this is happening because i am eating like 1800 calories a day and for excerise i walk like 30 min a day . but i am really worried because even though i am normal again my hair is still falling out . does anyone have any ideas on what wrong with me ? please no smart a## answers , this is really serious . thank you .

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

duh, were do u think your hair comes from!

its the vitiamans and stuff from the things you eat!

lol =]

when you dont eat, not more extra vitimans are being sent to be made into cells for the hair and it results in hair loss!

Good luck! =]

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

go and see your doctor. Losing and gaining weight in short periods of time may cause these symptoms but it sounds as if it may have triggered a hormonal (eg. thyroid) imbalance? This is only a guess though see a doctor!

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

it could be b/c you starved yourself or b/c you are getting malnutrotion. what you should really do is talk to your parents or your doctor because that is not healthy or normal. but I am happy for you that you didnt keep being an anorexic.

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

There could be a deficiency in essential vitamins and nutrients in the diet you are eating.

Please go and see your Doctor.

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

Could possibly be a thyroid condition, hair falling out and low cold tolerance are some of the many symptoms of Hypothyroidism. However you usually gain weight not lose it... best to get someone to take you to the doctor to have a check up.

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

man. anorexics have their hair falling out a lot, did you know that? when you starved your body that five days, you lost sooooo many nutrients, you have no idea... for god sakes, don't do it again. its dangerous..... you keep eating reguarly and take vitamins.

I am a 14years old female and in the past two months i lost 10 lbs and have had hair falling out ?

Almost 2 yrs ago I was very sick %26amp; wound up the hospital for 11 days. Shortly after that I started to lose my hair which was very upsetting to the point that I was considering buying a wig. However, about 3 months later my hair started growing back. It came back different (kind of kinky %26amp; dry) and it is only now, almost 2 yrs later that it is getting back to the way it used to be.

Moral: When your body chemistry changes extremely and rapidly, your body reacts. Losing your hair is just one way. You are lucky if you didn't damage any organs or your thyroid. Next time, diet wisely by only losing 2-3 lbs a week %26amp; get a checkup.

It isn't the amount you eat, it is the right htings you eat, you need things like meats for your body strength to go up, 2000 callories is the recommended diet for a female, although calorie control diets rarely work and you should just watch the fat, sugar ans salt intake, I think you should eat more, at least for a few days untill your strength goes back up, and your digestion system speeds up to it's normal rate so you can get what you need for the foods you eat. You should see a doctor because you could have caused a over-low amount of something in your body, doctor is the only option really, if you don't you may loose a lot more hair and it might not come back.

I want to get my real hair that i have cut off (12 inches) made into a wig. How do I do that?

Where can I get that done? Will it cost less because the hair comes from my own head? Will is be really expensive?

I want to get my real hair that i have cut off (12 inches) made into a wig. How do I do that?

i no that u want to help ur mum but there are plently of places to buy "believable" wigs, i wouldnt get ur own hair cut off, i would have thought that ur mum would want u to keep ur own hair. just look on the internet for somewhere to buy a wig..which will probably be cheaper anyway.

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

Im losing my hair because i have lots of spots where theres no hair. I been using a thinkness shampoo and moose, and also my roots have been turning this awful colour. Soo I think i might dye it again?

Do you guys think this isnt safe to do?

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

No its not safe. drying your hair makes hair to fall out. Buy a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and start taking vitamins.

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

Stop using all products and go to a professional

hair dresser.

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

hair dresseer

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

Dying it yourself will only worsen it's current state. It's possible you have a scalp irritant, and if so, you should go to a professional hair dresser to figure out the problem. They should know what would be replenishing to your hair.

Good luck!

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

If you have bald spots this could indicate a medical condition. Sometimes hormonal changes can be the cause of it. You can use a semi permanent hair color without ammonia and it won't hurt your hair or scalp.

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

No more dye. You should give your hair a rest. It needs time to replenish itself. If the patches are extreme, yes please see a DOCTOR. This may be a medical condition. The Dr. may be able to give you something to stimulate hair growth.

If the spots are severe, you may need to look into a protective hair replacement/extension. To help keep the chemicals %26amp; products off of your natural hair.

Good luck!

Uhh Eww. I hate Hair loss?

If the BALD SPOTS are in the size of a dime or a coin with smooth surface, it might be Alopecia. Try this website called CURESPOTBALDNESS.com.

FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

Tension

Too much work

Illness

Poor diet

Over-exposure to the sun

Perming

Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month 闅哣 if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

Hair loss and wightening!!?

go see a doctor.

Hair loss and wightening!!?

Have you by chance been cursed by anyone with such abilities lately? If not... it's probably extensive stress... or some strange aging process that has only occurred in you. I suggest just to shave it off... nothing wrong with bald. Though... if you're cursed, undergoing some weird aging cycle or super stressed... cutting it all off won't help much in the long haul.

Hair loss and wightening!!?

that is possible ... I used to know a boy who was only 17 who started to get grey hair.... I also used to know another guy who was 18 who lost all of his hair on top and now is bald on top. I would not worry about it.

Hair loss and wightening!!?

Sorry to hear that. I hate to state the obvious but I would suggest you go to the doctor right away.

Often the hair is a reflection of ones health and nervous system.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, & They Lost All Their Hair...???

Would you shave your head to make them feel better???

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

Deinitly if it would help my child cope better after all it is only hair and it will grow back and then we could both tease each other about their bald heads.

A family where I live, the mom had breast cancer and all four kids and the dad shaved their heads to show support when hers fell out, then they made up goofy hats that they all wore.

I love my children more than anything in this world and i would never want them to think I was more concerned about how i look than how they feel.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

if the asked then probably, but I don't think they would ask that of me, but if that helped them of course. Whatever made it easier for them

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

ooooh this is a sad question,,,, and my answer is yes!!!

this greatest day shave thats coming up is so tempting, i wish it was compulsary cos id do it if i knew my freinds were doing it with me, takes brave people to do it!!! xxxxxxxxxx

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

Of course. It's only hair, it grows back, but feelings last forever. I would move heaven and earth for my child.

What we do as parents today shape the future of our world. It's sad that we can't find time to devote to doing it more.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

I dont have children but would say no right now. But i have a feeling that when i do have children i would. If a child that i knew asked then no! But then its not my responsability to as im not the parent!

Its a hard question because in order to raise someone elses self esteam then youd have to bury yours.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

Sure. It's just hair. Comforting a child is much more important than hair.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

That has got to be the sweetest thing I have ever heard! You are such a caring and loving sister!

I would definitely do this myself. I pray to God I never find one of my children in that situation but I would do anything to make one of them more comfortable.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

No I would make them a wig probably (if they were a girl) because I have really really long hair. If that was at all a possibility.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

IF it made my child feel better, I would do it in a heartbeat.

If Your Child Became Terribly Ill, %26amp; They Lost All Their Hair...???

Yes, because my daughter and I look so much alike: Same hair, same face, everything, so if she had to do it I would too so we could keep being "twins" as she says.

My mom has cancer and lost all of her hair she was going to hair club for men and women..?

she ordered a hair piece from somewhere else and she glues it on. At hair club they sell you that stuff called alive that you are supposed to put on you hair piece after your shower to keep underneath clean. What can she use thats similar to that for her new hairpiece ?

My mom has cancer and lost all of her hair she was going to hair club for men and women..?

I've lost my hair 3x due to chemo. I found wearing a soft turban or scarf was the most comfortable. You sound like a great daughter. Cancer is difficult for every family member. So do some fun things for you also. Blessings to your family.

My mom has cancer and lost all of her hair she was going to hair club for men and women..?

I don't know what the answer to this is, but I just wanted to say that it's great that you're trying to be supportive of your mom while she's going through this really difficult time.

Can drinking water really help to lose weight and hair to grow faster?

yes it flushes out bad toxins in your body thus making you healthier all round

Can drinking water really help to lose weight and hair to grow faster?

I don't know about the hair growing...but I do know that drinking water increases your metabolism. Most people who have cravings throughout the day aren't actually even hungry, they are just de-hydrated, so when you drink you're full 8 glasses a day, you don't feel that craving for random snacking...also I just read today actually that when you drink water that is ice cold, you burn more calories than if you were to drink warm/room temp. water. To be exact you burn about 1 calorie per ounce of ice cold water...so if you were to drink 100ounces of water a day...thats an extra 100 calories!!! Cool eh...I thought so :)

Can drinking water really help to lose weight and hair to grow faster?

hair is protein, a diet that is too low in protein may cause some thinning in hair or a retardation in the growth cycle. If you eat a protein-rich diet it will often result in improved hair growth. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co... will help you.

A couple of questions about dying my hair.?

Ok, so for graduation from 8th grade, I'm going to be able to dye my hair any color I want. I was thinking about black with blood-red highlights mixed in. I want to know two things.

One: is it possible to preview your hair as a different color without using photoshop or something like that (i.e. upload your picture to a website and they show you). I'm not exactly hopeful on this, but who knows? I don't, and that's why I'm asking.

Two: what is the best way to do this? If it helps, I have really thick dark brown hair that is touching my neck (barley) everywhere except my bangs, where they're down to my mouth. Also, what's the safest way to do this? I have no plans of losing my hair any time soon (or ever, if I can help it).

Thanks,

-Alex

A couple of questions about dying my hair.?

Well i didnt this before in 8th grade with my hair....i put semi-permanent blood/light red..and pink in my hair where my bangs were and did highlights...this doesnt effect your hair as much as permanent would,,,it will wash out so many washes i forgot how many..but if you're looking to dye your hair black i would dye it black wash you're hair and then wait atleast 2 days to put the red it because it might not come out right the best place to go for the red highlights is sally's beauty supplies that is were i got my red hair dye......

A couple of questions about dying my hair.?

go to a salon....

Hair loss after baby?

i seem to be losing more hair than usual when i brush it in the morning. my little girl is 14weeks old. is this normal after pregnancy or should i pop to the docs?

Hair loss after baby?

It can be normal as your hormones are all over the place. I think a trip to the doctors is also in order because it could be thyroid.

Hair loss after baby?

Usually this is just a normal occurence after childbirth. I believe it has something to do with all the pregancy hormones leaving your body. It should stop soon. It sounds about the right time for it to be happening too. Call you doc's office or advice line if you are worried though.

Hair loss after baby?

Hi Victoria - it's VERY common - and it seems like your hair is coming out in handfuls - This will probably last for about 8 - 10 months. It's nothing to worry about, but if you are stressing about it, have a word with your health visitor just for reassurance. Enjoy your baby!

Hair loss after baby?

Yes this is totally normal, my dr told me to take zinc for a while but if it starts to come out in clumps then go see dr

Hair loss after baby?

Oh SO normal. I had GORGEOUS pregnancy hair, and it all fell out about 4 months after the baby.

Like I wasn't feeling fat and ugly enough.

Don't worry, it's the dropping levels of hormones!

Hair loss after baby?

i had my babies, triplets, on the 11th of october and my hair was great after it. while i was pregnant it wasnt so good... my hair was in terrible condition but now its full and thick and great!

you will be ok soon and congratulations on your baby!

Hair loss after baby?

My son is 17 weeks old and when i brush or wash my hair i lose alot, but believe me you are not going bald, unless you have bald patches then you have nothing to worry about.

Hair loss after baby?

It was 16 years ago when i became a new mum but i do remember my hair went thinner (but it was so thick that i could afford it lose some) and it became very greasy too (was always very dry before i became pregnant). My gums receded because i couldn't put a toothbrush into my mouth without wretching throughout my pregnancy.

Ask your doctor just for peace of mind. Stress may cause your hair to fall out more than usual but it's more likely to be your hormonal changes.

Good luck and congrats on your little girl x

Hair loss after baby?

I HAVE A 4 MONTH BABY %26amp; THE SAME IS HAPPENING TO ME THE DOCTOR SAID ITS POST PARTUM I TAKE PILLS FOR DEPRESSION %26amp; SHE TOLD ME TO KEEP TAKING MY PRENATAL PILLS. SEEMS TO HELP. GOOD LUCK

Hair loss after baby?

this is completely normal...... when you're pregnant you don't shed nearly as much hair as u normally do, and after baby is born, your hormone levels return to normal, and you start to lose what u would have lost had u not been pregnant!!!! it seems like loads, and will prob go on for some time yet, but don't fret, you won't end up with less hair than before. after both my children, and after shedding loads of hair, i started growing loads of new hair, which stuck up everywhere and was a bit of a nuisance to be honest, but it sorts itself out within a few months. if you're worried about your hair loss, or maybe your diet isn't great cos you're caring for baby, try the supplement "florisene", you should be able to get it in health food shops. its iron and nutrient rich, and after my first baby, my normal healthy head of hair was restore in a few months,i actually found it made my hair grow quicker too.

again, don't fret, as this will make things worse. it is totally normal. eat well and get plenty of rest, and enjoy your precious time with your new baby, congratulations.

Hair loss after baby?

It happened to me too and my doctor told me to take multi vitamins. It's completely normal after having a baby

Hair loss after baby?

Yep, normal.

Your hair usually falls out in small amounts, but when you're pregnant, that hair doesn't fall out at all (that's what makes pregnant hair so nice and thick), but then after having a baby and those pregnancy hormones drop off, all the hair that you would have normally lost likes to come out all at once.

My hair started coming out like crazy too, and clogging the shower - add to that my baby figuring out how to yank it out; I just decided to cut it short. Maybe you'll want to start looking up some cool new hairstyles for a new look yourself.

Have some fun.

Hair loss after baby?

It sounds pretty normal, I've been losing mine for a few weeks now, it's pretty annoying finding my hair all over the place. While I was pregnant I didn't lose a single hair that I know of, It was soft, manageable and grew pretty fast and strong, now I feel like I'm going bald. It's also gotten pretty oily as well, I used to be able to go 2-3 days without washing it if i had to, now when I shower at night it's oily by morning.

Hair loss after baby?

When you are pregnant your body closes up the pores on the head which results in fuller prettier hair (lol for lots of people anyway!) so after your baby is born it releases the pores and you lose the hair you were already supposed to have lost.. so really your not losing as much as it looks like! dont panic you wont go bald or anything!!

Hair loss after baby?

After both of my kids it seemed like I would clog the shower up all the time, or have to sweep the bathroom at least once a day. You don't lose any hair duing pregnancy, which is why so many people have such great thick hair during. Anyway, it is normal and it will stop eventually. Although my son is turning 1 on saturday and I still lose quite a bit. Good Luck.

Hair loss after baby?

your hormones,everywhere..but,go to the doctors..you need a tonic..but,thats normal after child birth..how is the little baby girl, ill bet she is lovely..take care..mary.c.

Hair loss after baby?

my son is almost 9 months and i am still loosing hair, i see it on bathroom tile, but i think it's less that it was about twoi months ago. i think it;s from breastfeeding.

Hair loss after baby?

I lost my hair by the handful!! It's normal. Hormone fluxuations and all that.

Hair loss after baby?

hey im just the same and my baby is 6 months lol i was told not to worry during pregnancy you create more hormones which is why your hair grows and when the baby is here the hormones calm back down and that extra hair is then shed and boy is it alot. i was same when i first had my little girl hairs were everywhere all over the floor and the surfaces i was in a never ending cleaning state but it is slowly calming down good luck and congrats about the baby

Hair loss after baby?

freaky but normal! when your pregnant the normal rate of hair loss that we all have is greatly reduced and sometimes stops all together! after baby arrives it sort of catching up with all the hair that should have fallen out during that time!

,,,,and you thought the weirdness of pregnancy symptoms were long gone!,,,,,think again girl!!!

Hair loss after baby?

This is normal.

My hair loss was terrible. My son was born last November and by March this year my hair was coming out in handfuls everytime I washed it. It got so bad that I had to have my waist-length hair cut right up to my shoulders because it had gone so thin! Sob!

It will slow down though. By about 6 months post partum my hair loss had stopped and it all seems to be growing back now as I approach my son's first birthday!

Hair loss after baby?

Its normal. But you can buy a mask its can help you a bit.

Hair loss after baby?

Hi there. yes this is perfectly normal, it is because your hair doesnt fall out much through pregnancy and it becomes more fuller and shiny, its down to the hormones, now you have had your baby your body is trying to get back to normal. Some people are the opposite, my hair is taking ages to get back to normal and my baby is 10months, saying that though it is a lot better than it used to be.

Hair loss after baby?

its normal you don't lose as much hair while your pregnant that why you can have thicker glossy hair then you have your baby and it all fall out thats if your not pulling it out with all the sleepless nights

Hair loss after baby?

Hi, I can personally relate to this...but I did have what the first answerer to this question said, THYROID....get it checked out, one simple blood test can tell you whether or not you are Thyroid difficent....this is really common after having a baby and can often settle down after a year or like me some have it for life (like me) Its also common just to loose hairt after childbirth anyway but worth ruling this out. Goodluck x

Hair loss after baby?

Hair loss after baby?

Hair loss vs my g/f?

Hi im steve, im 18 and i just started going out my g/f and im a bit worried. I know that i am losing my hair, i told her this even before we started dating. She didn't say anything about it. Does that mean that she likes me for who I am? im just scared that this g/f might be last one if i shave my head and i won't be accepted anymore. please help thanks

Hair loss vs my g/f?

Okay Steve, you seem to be going through a really rough patch here.

Firstly, as most ppl have already said, you shouldnt be with someone who dsnt accept you for you. I am also a hair loss sufferer, and im only 21, no patches yet tho. Just thinning hair.

If you like, and dont mind shaving your head, then you should go for it and save the trouble about worrying. Look at Vin Desial man!!! He looks so cool with no hair! Its all about how you feel inside.

However, that said, you really want to fight this thing? Like me. Then you have a few choices. There are people who say, hair loss is genetic, and cant ever be stopped. However, i dont believe that is a fact. Body building is genetic dependent isnt it? Yes, and yet so many bodybuilders train and compete. If someones genetics prevents them getting a certain way, they can work harder, or differently to reach their goals. Genetics are their to protect you, not deform you. Deformity comes when your environment (eating habbits, chemicals you use).

There are a few ways to go about hair loss. Drugs. Which are usefull to an extent, like propencia and minodixal (i cant spell that one). I havent used these, however they are the top drugs that men use to "hold" their hair loss. Sometimes however, your hair does start to grow back again. But you have to keep taking it for life. And it does cost a bit.

Another way. Hebral remedies and formulas. The top ones out there are, SUPER ZIX. This is a formula which YOU make yourself. Go to http://www.qdbd.com/hair_loss_treatment_... and find out. The site also helps you how to make it, and gives you other ways to handle hair loss.

Before i go, i must say, you should change your diet drastically. There werent as many bold men around as now, and the thing that has changed is our diets, full of sat fats like mcdonalds and processed foods. It does build up and affect your system.

Also, you should change your shampoo to a herbal one. Most shampoos have this agent that makes it "fluffy" when shampooing to give a satisfying feeling, when it can actually damage and cause hair loss (according to some studies).

Lastly, you should go to a doctor and get yourself checked. Hairloss can be from a more serious ilness coming up, and as soon as that illness is found, hair loss can easyly be reversed.

Best of luck! And stop worrying about hair loss, stress on its own causes hair loss! So smile you got a nice girl! I dont even have gf lol!

Hair loss vs my g/f?

listen friend its not to late to save yourself go out and get DHT blockers it will stop it in its tracks cvs carries some very good ones. they are tablets. read about dht online good luck bro

Hair loss vs my g/f?

If a girl doesnt accept you for who you are..then you shouldnt be with her..

she doesnt seem to care that you are losing your hair..

and it shouldnt really matter anyways..

dont get to worry about it...you wont be the only bald guy in this planet.

Hair loss vs my g/f?

oh thats sad you think this could be your last chance.

i find men with shaved heads attractive 2. so dont worry

If you're really concerned and want your hair to grown back, there are companies that give you special types of shampoo etc to make your hair grow. You could see them.

If you just want to let nature take its course, then good for you and i know heapsa women who like shaved heads.

If someone likes you enough they wont mind either.

Hair loss vs my g/f?

steve, steve, steve. Fear not! Bald is IN dude...if she doesn't like you for you, or if she finds your hairloss to be something she just can't handle, then let her go and don't give it another thought. There are TONS of women out there that actually prefer bald men, and many more that are kewl with it even if they also dig guys with a full head of hair.

If you notice your hair leaving you at a great rate...either a bald spot forms and is quickly growing on the crown of your head, or your hairline in front starts to receed or disappear so you only have a ring of hair around the back of your head, then shave it off and be proud.

Do you know how many guys shave their heads, who actually are capable of growing a full head of hair? *nods* A lot do...

Don't worry about not being accepted...you should be the one shunning those who won't accept you (as you are).

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armp

Hair in those places doesn't seem to have any purpose. I understand though why we still have eyebrows, eyelashes, hairs in the nose and so on.

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

Evolution doesn't eliminate everything which is useless. It will remove anything which is a disadvantage. For example, if it slows us down while running or makes us less intelligent, then it would have disappeared long ago.

Pubic and underarm hair may not have a reason to exist, but it also doesn't harm us, so it's still around. It may or may not disappear from humanity several thousand years from now.

A few other points:

- Some people believe that the underarm and pubic hair is used to reduce chafing. You'll notice that the crotch and armpits are two areas where the human body rubs against itself the most.

- Some people believe that the underarm and pubic hair is used to hold in the pheromones that we produce. The crotch and underarms are two of the smelliest places on the human body.

- In Asia, there are people who are actually born without underarm or pubic hair. However, in places like Korea, pubic hair is considered a sign of fertility, so many of the women born without pubic hair actually transplant hair from their head to their pubic area.

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

Note also, however, that evolution will eventually eliminate even useless components since they waste bodily resources (and are hence a selection disadvantage). The selection pressure is still there, just more minor. Report It

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

everything is there for a purpose, sometimes we know the purpose, sometimes we don't but doesn't mean it has no purposes

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

It's called "old age". NOT evolution!

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

did you know that humans still have remnants of a tail... ur not complaining about that. :)

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

Hair within the pubic area is meant to keep such area warm during the cold months. It has little importance now when we wear clothes. The same for hair within the underarms. THe hair in these parts are left over from earlier times when we needed it.

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

Women who shave their under-arm hair may know if this is the case, that when armpits become sweaty it feels uncomfortable.

I know that after I shaved my pubic hair in preparation for a vasectomy, it was very uncomfortable - things kept sticking together!

Of course, this does not seem to trouble pre-pubescent children.

Hair in these regions is a secondary sexual characteristic and functions, in part, to localise the pheremones produced during sex. These sexy smells linger in the sweat held on the hair.

As to why many people choose to cover up their powerful and effective sexy smells with deodorants, colognes, etc. I can only guess.

As to why many women shave their armpits, my theory is that it is an effective marketing ploy of anti-perspirant manufacturers which has become a fashion.

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

we DID NOT EVOLVE we are the same as we were 6000 yrs ago. you hit on something if we evolved we would still be evolving.therefore we would all be hairless because we dont need it anymore. ha ha im not worried.

If we've lost most of our hair in the evolution, why do we still have pubic hair and hairy armpits?

"Vestigial" does not mean an organ is useless. A vestige is a "trace or visible sign left by something lost or vanished" Examples from biology include leg bones in snakes, eye remnants in blind cave fish, extra toe bones in horses, wing stubs on flightless birds and insects, and molars in vampire bats. Whether these organs have functions is irrelevant. They obviously do not have the function that we expect from such parts in other animals, for which creationists say the parts are "designed."

Vestigial organs are evidence for evolution because we expect evolutionary changes to be imperfect as creatures evolve to adopt new niches. Creationism cannot explain vestigial organs. They are evidence against creationism if the creator follows a basic design principle that form follows function, as H. M. Morris himself expects (1974, 70). They are compatible with creation only if anything and everything is compatible with creation, making creationism useless and unscientific.

Some vestigial organs can be determined to be useless if experiments show that organisms with them survive no better than organisms without them.

Some of the most renowned evidence for evolution are the various nonfunctional or rudimentary vestigial characters, both anatomical and molecular, that are found throughout biology. A vestige is defined, independently of evolutionary theory, as a reduced and rudimentary structure compared to the same complex structure in other organisms. Vestigial characters, if functional, perform relatively simple, minor, or inessential functions using structures that were clearly designed for other complex purposes. Though many vestigial organs have no function, complete non-functionality is not a requirement for vestigiality.

For example, wings are very complex anatomical structures specifically adapted for powered flight, yet ostriches have flightless wings. The vestigial wings of ostriches may be used for relatively simple functions, such as balance during running and courtship displays鈥攁 situation akin to hammering tacks with a computer keyboard. The specific complexity of the ostrich wing indicates a function which it does not perform, and it performs functions incommensurate with its complexity. Ostrich wings are not vestigial because they are useless structures per se, nor are they vestigial simply because they have different functions compared to wings in other birds. Rather, what defines ostrich wings as vestigial is that they are rudimentary wings which are useless as wings.

There are many examples of rudimentary and nonfunctional vestigial characters carried by organisms, and these can very often be explained in terms of evolutionary histories. For example, from independent phylogenetic evidence, snakes are known to be the descendants of four-legged reptiles. Most pythons (which are legless snakes) carry vestigial pelvises hidden beneath their skin (Cohn 2001; Cohn and Tickle 1999). The vestigial pelvis in pythons is not attached to vertebrae (as is the normal case in most vertebrates), and it simply floats in the abdominal cavity. Some lizards carry rudimentary, vestigial legs underneath their skin, undetectable from the outside (Raynaud and Kan 1992).

I use hair gel and i've started to notice my hair changed from black to brown and i've los

because most gels have alcohol in them which strips the hair down and when exposed to the sun after applying it... it acts as a bleach (hence the lightening effect). It also thins the hair because alcohol dries out the hair, causing it to be dry and brittle which makes it prone to breakage. As your hair breaks off it will inevitably become thinner. You should try to find a gel that is alcohol-free... or preferably a moisturizing mousse...which will be less harsh on your hair. Good luck!

oh yeah... and make sure you get a trim to get rid of the unhealthy split ends which are causing your hair to thin right now.

I use hair gel and i've started to notice my hair changed from black to brown and i've lost alot more hair. y?

i'm not sure why it woulda changed colors...but gel definitely does make your hair fall out. use mousse instead. it's not as bad.

I use hair gel and i've started to notice my hair changed from black to brown and i've lost alot more hair. y?

stop using it or you wont have any hair at all there must something in the gel that has something toxic in it

I use hair gel and i've started to notice my hair changed from black to brown and i've lost alot more hair. y?

it's very possible that the gel is stripping your hair color i would switch

I use hair gel and i've started to notice my hair changed from black to brown and i've lost alot more hair. y?

Well you might be using way to much hair gel. Try putting a little on your wrist and then using your other hand and use that. Also try mixing it with a little water. Like wet your other hand with water before you put the gel in you hair.

My pet mouse is losing hair around its mouth.?

well i have a pet mouth i am not sure how old it is but i have had it for maybe 3 weeks or so. and now she looks like she is losing hair around her mouth and i dont know what to do, any ideas on what is wrong...

My pet mouse is losing hair around its mouth.?

Skin conditions are the most obvious symptoms of external parasites.

One of the more common health problems mice experience is scabs or sores on the back and head area. These wounds are generally caused by two different sources, a parasitic infection or a food intolerance. The other common cause of these itchy rashes are parasites.

Look closely and see if the hair loss is just around the mouth or if there is thinning of hair around the body.

It's not at all uncommon for mice to suffer from allergies. Symptoms include red, irritated eyes, sneezing, coughing and difficulty breathing.

In some cases, the bedding in the cage may be the problem; try another brand and try to stay away from sawdust and hay, Aspen is good. Ammonia from your pet's urine can also set off allergic symptoms, so be sure to clean the cage more often.

The most common culprit is mites. These mites can infest your mouse through a number of different sources. They can come on hay, straw, other mice, or infected food. These mites are very small and usually cannot be seen with the naked eye. If you don閳ユ獩 want to make a trip to the vet, there are several commercially available broad treatments for mites. They are usually marketed for birds as mites are a much larger problem in birds than mice. Follow the directions on the container, usually it involves a few dustings or sprays a week. If that doesn閳ユ獩 seem to provide your little critter with relief, or you閳ユ獓 rather go strait to the professionals you can take your mouse to the veterinarian. A vet will likely give your little guy an injection of Ivermectin. It is important to have a professional figure out the dosage because this particular treatment is for much larger animals and will need to be significantly diluted. Make sure you completely clean out your mouse閳ユ獨 cage and toys and make sure his or her environment is completely disinfected and washed before returning your mouse to his house.

You will need to do some sleuthing to determine if it is a allergy, bacterial infection or parasite. A trip to the vet is the best way to get this treated.

My pet mouse is losing hair around its mouth.?

You have a pet mouth? ;)

If you have a wire cage and your mouse bites on the wires it could cause hair loss around the mouth and nose because the hair rubs up against it and gets plucked out by the bars. Or it could be parasites like mites and other tiny bugs. To check if your mouse has these...pick him up and part his hair, if you see little black specks that look like dirt but moving then you should go to a vet and he will talk to you about what medicine you should use to get rid of them. :) enjoy!

Hair loss... Help me!?

Hello

I sincerely would recommend you to go to a doctor or a dermatologist. They only can give you a valid prescription for propecia (finasteride), it doesn't exist other way to get a prescription.

It's a potent medicament and it has a lot of side effect, you can't take it without medical attention.

Like I write you before it's always better to consult a specialist like a doctor or dermatologist. That's my best advise I can give you.

Here some side effects of Finasteride (Propecia)

Buy a pair of clippers and cut it all off. Its the only way to go.

Hair loss... Help me!?

A few things that I can recommend, Firstly paint some rabbits on your head, from a distance they look like Hares! Secondly get a matchbox, that's quite good at keeping your hair in. Lastly avoid using log in or password names like slaphead, baldy and wide-parting, they will only bring attention to your follicular depletion and loss of mojo. Hope these help. Yours sincerely

Hair loss... Help me!?

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods. Check out

Hair loss... Help me!?

Forget about it. Does your hair define you as a person and if you don't have it do you feel like less of a man?

Look around. Of course you see the combover guys. Then there are the guys who artfully arrange the few sprouts they have on top. It looks weak, vain and makes you look older.

Get a clipper cut and be done w. it. You look younger, confident and clean cut. Depending on your hair you can just shave tight on the side and keep a bit of fuzz on top..... no need to be completely bald.

It is amazingly freeing. Strong and confident are the key and the heck w. the hair.

What can I do to make my hair stronger? It is falling out fast and it shows that i am balding. Im 25 years old

you may have a hormone imbalance. An endocrinologist can help with that.

EAT MORE PROTIN. i swear it will help. So start eating meat and stuff, cuz it will work trust me

What can I do to make my hair stronger? It is falling out fast and it shows that i am balding. Im 25 years old

Start using a shampoo that is free of sodium laurate sulphate. This is in most shampoos, and gives your skin a mild chemical burn and damages the hair follicles. A friend of mine switched his shampoo and is now growing hair back where it was lost before.

Most organic health food stores will carry this kind of shampoo.

What can I do to make my hair stronger? It is falling out fast and it shows that i am balding. Im 25 years old

I agree with someone above. See an endocrinologist, you could have a thyroid problem.

What can I do to make my hair stronger? It is falling out fast and it shows that i am balding. Im 25 years old

If you are a guy and baldness is in your family then probably nothing you can do about it....it is your genetic make up. If you are a female this is not normal and I suggest you ask your doctor.

It may help to change shampoo. Mine was falling out one time and I was told not to use Pantene all the time. It can make your hair fall out. I changed shampoo and that helped.

Buying "regrowth" products to help hair grow faster?

I absolutely loathe my shortshortshort haircut. I want it to die. I got it cut almost a month ago and it's only grown about a quarter of an inch. [I can tell because It's also dyed a darker color than my natural hair color, and I can judge how much its grown from the roots]

I have been reading up on things to help hair grow faster, and i'm taking it all into consideration.. you know, eating plenty of vegetables, less caffeine, getting it trimmed regularly, using coconut oil, etc. But then I was wondering, what would happened if I bought some of that regrowth stuff at Walgreens, for like, people who are losing their hair?

What would that do?

Thanks :]

Buying "regrowth" products to help hair grow faster?

Why is my hair still falling out?

Alright, I've been losing my hair for over a year now and I was stressed before but not much now, what gives? The stress caused me to quit eating so I at least had something to blame it on. Now, I'm eating healthier without any strong ups or downs. So why has my hair continued to fall out at such a fast rate.

Why is my hair still falling out?

Are you eating healthy? Are you still stressed see a doctor! They could tell you.

Why is my hair still falling out?

You should buy some Nioxin, it's sold at beauty shops and hair salons. It will help to regenerate hair growth and should hlep your problem!

Why is my hair still falling out?

are you underweight? if not you should go to the Dr.

Why is my hair still falling out?

Why is my hair still falling out?

If you grab your hair up right after you took a shower that could affect it as well because your hair is still humid.

Why is my hair still falling out?

It could be a thyroid imbalance. It happened to my daughter and since she started taking medicine for the condition, her hair stopped falling out.

Why is my hair still falling out?

um well you might be combing it to hard or something..cause that was happeing to my friend for a long time..its normal though..unless you have like a TON falling out

Why is my hair still falling out?

it matters what u r putting in it and awhat u r eating

Why is my hair still falling out?

The average person loses 100 -150 hair per day. This is the natural shedding process. If you are loosing more than this it could be a medical problem, see your doctor first.

If after you see the doctor and nothing is physically wrong, you could be suffering from a natural process of hair loss.

Don't try any of the stuff that salons sell, the shampoos and treatments sold in salons don't work. The only thing that is FDA approved to actually regrow hair is Minoxidil. This is the active ingredient in Rogaine.

Don't waste your money on the salon stuff including Nioxin. I am a male hairstylist suffering with hair loss, I've tried them all.

Try the Rogaine.
