Hair, hair everywhere?

I'm losing little hair on my head, like it's visible. On the side of my head it's also visible. What should I do?

Also, I'm like growing tiny hairs on my forehead, upper lip and my fingers and toes. I'm just 12 and I just don't know what's happening to me?

Help! Thanks.

Hair, hair everywhere?

in terms of body/facial hair wax it off. for the head hair go to the doctor, they can give you perscription medication to stop hair loss before its too late.

Hair, hair everywhere?

go to a doctor this is sorta normal it happens to half of people (girls)

Hair, hair everywhere?

Welcome to puberty.

Hair, hair everywhere?

if its visible because when u brush it, it comes out but u cant tell after its gone then its ok but other than that i dont know... and as far as the upper lip, fingers, and toes thats normal....

Hair, hair everywhere?

since you are only 12, get mom to take you to a dermatologist ASAP It's not uncommon to lose hair but in your case, the hair loss sounds excessive and deserve consultation with a pro . you can also ask the dr. about hairs on forehead, etc. at the same time.

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

My hair started falling out, and a hair stylist said it could be that i use too much conditioner, so i thought since baby shampoo was so mild i could use that and then use a spray in conditioner, maybe it wouldn't be as bad. I'm going through my sheding phase, ya know where you lose your hair after so many years and new one start to come in, it can last anywhere from 180 days to 6 months!!

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

i used baby shampoo and it works great on my hair i think u can keep on using it and u will be fine

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

Your grasping at straws, there is no stopping hair loss.

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

probably won't hurt

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

yes it is OK to wash it with baby shampoo. Don't worry.

Though the truth is that external factors cannot influence much the state of your hair.

If you want to improve the state of your hair try to take more vitamins in your diet (supplements or not) or try to use a mask from time to time(Me I would prefer a natural one based on aloe Vera and coconut oil.)

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

Yeah its fine ive heard people use it.

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

i dont see that it would make ur hair any worse, so try it

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

i think i would ask my hair stylist. spray in conditioner is really good, from eliminating tangles, which in the long run leaves hair frizzy and damaged. use it feely. pantene pro-v spray in cond. is good. how old are you hun?

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

sure you can use this..but i don't suggest it with your current hair situation..its high ph wise so its strips and damages hair...that will actually make more hair fall out...if you want to you could buy Nioxin that would help you out with the thinning of hair and also take a multivitamin with the b complex vitamins..this would keep the root strong so it doesn't fall out

Is it ok for adults to wash there hair with baby shampoo?

Well i think if baby shampoo is safe enough to use on babies, then it must be safe to use it on adult hair.

If there was health related issues regarding baby shampoo then it would be taken off the market.

Good luck!

Keep your chin up! Whatever you deside to do, don't let it get to down.

Hair loss help!!!?

My brother has been losing his hair a lot for the last few years and everytime he wakes up his pillow is left with a lot of his hair and you can practically see his scalp already and yes he wears caps a lot but is there anyway to prevent the hairloss and to regrow his hair shampoos, oils, etc.???He is 26 yrs old.

thanx

Hair loss help!!!?

rogaine works, but once you start you have to use for the rest of your life, or go bald gracefully. hats do not cause baldness. hats causing baldness is an old wives tail, not a shread of truth.

Hair loss help!!!?

Maybe rogaine, but usually there is an underlying condition that causes hair loss. Stress or other things could be a factor. I think he should see a doctor to rule out things first.

I need help on straightening my hair?

i used to have Alopecia areta, when your hair folicules atack themselvesand you lose your hair, and now it has grown out and it's frizzy. I want it to be staight but i dont want to damage it any more than it is. Any suggestions on which flat-iron or spray works? I really want something that will get it straight.

I need help on straightening my hair?

My hair dresser uses Redken Smooth Down on me. I have super natural curly hair and she is able to put that on my hair when it is towel dried and then blow it out with a round brush and hair dryer.

It is about $13 a bottle... below is the link.

I need help on straightening my hair?

Your hair sounds really weak as it is. If you flatiron it, I would do it VERY SPARINGLY. Also, you may want to deep condition. There's a really great hair mask by Neutrogena called "Triple Moisture Hair Masque". It comes in an orange tub.

If you get a flatiron, make sure it's ceramic. Ceramic damages less than others.

I need help on straightening my hair?

get the revo styler. i use that thing every day. it takes practice b/c its a spinning brush but once you get it after a few minutes it helps brush out the frizzies and makes it easier to use a straight iron or just use the revo and it makes it a pretty wave. use a leave in conditioner/frizz reducer. I use fructis leave in conditioner/smooth %26amp; sleek. you dont have to use too much product just as long as it has a leave in conditioner in it. and the best flat iron out right now is the Chi. you can get a generic one which is exactly the same as the real one for like half the price from Sally's.

I need help on straightening my hair?

well here is the site to all straightening products including the ones i was talking about:

http://www.conair-store.com/index.asp

OK girl same hair same here listen to me use the conair wet to straight straightening iron it works so good just take a shower and start straightening or use conair infinity

I need help on straightening my hair?

At some hair salons and internet hair care entrepreneurs, they have some great products. Do not just pick up something from the super market, as will not do the job very nicely. Whatever you do get a salon certified product such as Osis. Also look online for "Chi: Global Beauty" for straightening irons. If you lightly use them, they can straighten hair giving it a pretty, sleek , natural look; not a stick straight look that reveals dead ends.

I need help on straightening my hair?

hmmm well i straighten my hair too! i use a CHI iron and so far it is GREAT! its the best, i think alot of people like it too. about the spray you should use, go looking for sprays that might say "root to tip hair silkener", "frizz control" or "for ironing" just things like that and also for conditioning shampoos use the ones for frizzy hair or uncontrolable hair.

I need help on straightening my hair?

ok my hair is so insanely thick that when i went over to my friend's house to get my highlights done, she said she didn't have enough color for my 600 pounds of hair. here's what i do and my hair gets REALLY straight:

1. after i wash my hair i blow dry it in sections starting at the bottom and working my way up

2. i have a conair 1" straightener and it gets extremely hot so i turn it on all the way up because that is the recommended setting for thick hair

3. put a pony-tail on top of my head, and use other scuncii (spelling) clips like stylists use to hold up other parts of my hair

4. use tresemme (spelling?) heat protect spray (it makes your hair incredibly smooth, shiny, and it feels so much thinner)

5. straighten it in 1 or 2 inch sections clipping them up as i go to get it away from the other parts i am straightening

6. slowly work my way around and up to the top of my head and then when i am finally done use a comb to get it to all go together

*my straightener gets REALLY hot so i always use a comb right after i straighten it, like following my straightener*

hope i helped you out!!

Has anyone expierienced hair loss after taking ortho tri-cyclen after a while?

I have been on the pill for approx. 5 years, but only about 2 years ago, I started to lose my hair...very noticeably in the front where I wear my bangs. It looks pretty crappy. Has anyone else had the same thing happen? If so, how did you handle it? T.Y.!!

Has anyone expierienced hair loss after taking ortho tri-cyclen after a while?

I have been on this for about 5 mos. I didn't even think that this could be why I am losing my hair, but I notice it in the same place. I have been losing it a lot. I just assumed it was from too much stress.

Has anyone expierienced hair loss after taking ortho tri-cyclen after a while?

Yes. I lose about 3 handfuls a day. I've taken for about 7 yrs., I never thought that could be why though.

Has anyone expierienced hair loss after taking ortho tri-cyclen after a while?

i have been on it for maybe 3 years now, i lose a lot of hair but it is even across my head. usually when you lose it in patches its stress related....

Has anyone expierienced hair loss after taking ortho tri-cyclen after a while?

This may or may not be a side effect of the ortho try-cyclen. Do you have any other symptoms that would make you think it is caused by the pill? Have you had your thyroid levels checked? I have low thyroid and when it gets low, I start losing hair!!! Other thyroid symptoms include fatigue, temperature sensitivity, weight gain, etc.

Get to a doctor to see what is causing the hair loss. Good Luck!

What does it mean when u start losing ur head on ur head cause thats happening to my friend?

he told me when he takes a shower he loses some hair not alot but a little and he wants to know how u make ur hair not fall of ur head

What does it mean when u start losing ur head on ur head cause thats happening to my friend?

Generally to lose up to 100 hairs a day; every thirty days you will lose a little more because there is a new hair shaft growing out of the follicle and pushes the old hair shaft out.

And of course depending on his age it could be male pattern baldness.

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for over thirty years.

Hope this helps.

What does it mean when u start losing ur head on ur head cause thats happening to my friend?

Hair always falls out of your head. It's natural. You can't prevent it.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

I've been paranoid lately. Few days ago I saw two bald spots on my eyebrows. Then I noticed my hair got thinner. I can see some part of my head now. I started dying my hair at a very young age and now im 22. Could this be why I'm losing my hair? I wash my hair everyday and sometimes a lot fall off and sometimes barely anything falls off. But when I brush it seems to fall out more. Through out the day there will be a few strands that falls off too. Is this normal? or am I paranoid that I have some kind of cancer? pleasee help. im stressing over this.

I know none of you guys are doctors but I just want some opinions to ease my mind.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

The only reason cancer patients lose their hair is because of chemotherapy. You don't have cancer.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

I'm sure you don't have cancer, but....

it could be anything---thyroid problem, birth control pills, hormone imbalance, every day stress, vitamin deficiency...lots of things besides cancer, don't freak!

Call your doctor, they'll want to do some blood tests. And, in the meantime, DO NOT wash your hair everyday--go every OTHER day and start using baby shampoo and STOP styling it if you can get away with it. Let it dry naturally. Dont pull it back in a pony, either.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

you shouldnt wash your hair EVERYDAY you should allow the oils to build up at least two or three days or your hair will dry up and break and you will have "bald spots" like you said from overdying STOP DYING STOP WASHING YOUR HAIR TAKE PRENATAL VITAMINS be patient it will ALLL grow back

Question about hair loss. Please help?

sounds to me like you're gonna die outta cancer

Question about hair loss. Please help?

First of all..... you do NOT lose hair from cancer. Your hair falls out from the result of chemotherapy or radiation treatments. So i think your OK in that department. They say an average person can lose up to 100 or more hairs a day. I personally loose a lot of hair in the shower.... that's normal. If your hair is falling out in "large" clumps I would check with a doctor. You mentioned that you colored your hair a lot at an early age. This can damage your hair.... but it wouldn't make your hair fall out in large amounts. I know for a fact that stress can bring on hair loss, but again... not in huge clumps. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions.... feel free to ask away!

Brianne, RN.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

The most likely cause is over chemical treatment of your hair. You might try cutting it shorted to take the pressure off the strands as you brush that cause it to break off. You need to go to a really good beauty sho for a deep conditioning and cut. This should help. Stop that chemical processing. That will really help.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

It's normal to lose a few hairs every day but if your hair thinning, that's not good. It's not good for your hair if you wash it everyday. It doesn't allow the natural oils that are supposed to be in your hair to get there since you keep washing it out. I too have dyed my hair since I was in 7th grade (I'm now 25) and my hair was falling out at an alarming rate... I just laid off the dying- it's been about 2 years since I dyed it- and now it's strong, doesn't fall out too much, and I have no split ends.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

Naturally our hair falls 100 strands a day. It's not a cancer. Use mild shampoo and conditioner everyday.Use a soft and large bristled comb and comb your hair from the tip and then go over from the roots. Comb gently, not harshly.. Stop dying your hair for a while to rebuild its natural color.

Question about hair loss. Please help?

are you taking any drugs?

Question about hair loss. Please help?

I doubt that it is cancer but if you are already seeing bald spots, you better get to your Dr. You need to have a work-up done to see what is going on! It may be nothing but there is no way you should just take a wait and see attitude! Good Luck

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

i want soft curly hair......not dry frizzy ones..... and if i want to straighten my hair ...which is the safest method so that i dont lose much hair?

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

use hair cream!

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

the same thing you do to tame your frizzy hair below your waist. Shave it!

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

wish I had that problem!!!!

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

Try a "hair serum" like frizz ease, or isoplus. For straightening, you could try giving yourself a wrap and covering with the puffy blow dry cover for 30-40 minutes. I wear my hair naturally curly during the summer and straight in the fall. And I found this product called "Wet and Wavy" at this mom n' pop beauty supply store. It is the best product I have found to keep my curls from looking frizzy. Maybe you could try that too.

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

John Fredia has a mass variety of Frizz Ease products that work really well, to give you cute curly hair, and the safest way to straighten your hair, i would suggest Tresumme's heat spray. You spray it on before you straighten your hair, and it protects it from damgage, and works real well

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

use or apply extra virgin olive oil before you wash your hair. leave it for about 15 minutes bfore you use shampoo. NEVER forget to use conditioner.. take vitamins for hair once in a while.. it really works..

if you want to straightening your hair, u could try 'smoothing' methode..its the safest..or else just do what i told you above and blow dry your hair.

good luck :)

How do i manage real frizzy curly hair?

go to a hiar place in ask them cause all ill do is hook u up with tracks

Are you also gaining weight? You may have low thyroid. Simple blood tests by your doctor can tell.

Take a look at your dad and grandad? Are they bald, did they go bald early? If so, sorry son it's MPB. Male Pattern Baldness and cannot be stopped. Just don't do an Elton John

I have a hair problem =/?

That doesnt sound too good. Have you been frequently coloring or using some type of iron on your hair? If you havent been doing any of those things , you might want to ask your hairdresser.

I have a hair problem =/?

genetics, your diet and stress. talk to your dr. to see what he/she suggests..one of my friends became a vegetarian in college, and her hair thinned out....i guess that's y they say consult your dr. b4 starting on any diet program.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

I am not losing my hair and I definitely have plenty of it, but everytime I brush or just run my fingers through my hair several strands come out. I wouldn't mind so much, except I have long hair so my chair at work has my hair on it, the floor of my car is covered in it. I just hate feeling like I leave strands of my hair everywhere I go. I take daily vitamins and am generally healthy. Any insight would be appreciated.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

stress can cause this.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

have you had a baby recently? mine starting falling out after I had my son, its growing back but I have lots a frizzy bits on top it drives me crazy.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

Radioactive poisoning can contribute to hairloss.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

Sounds like your hair may be weak and may have a lot of breakage going on. Put some treatments on it to strengthen it and reduce styling with heated utensils if possible.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

You might need to take Iron, but I would go to your doctor and get blood work done to be sure.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

Actually, it's quite normal. I've read somewhere that you lose 1000 pieces of hair a day. That number sounds huge but when you think about how many you lose in relation to how much is actually on your head, it's a small number.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

stress. people lose 100 strands a day so don't worry about it too much. Use an antibreakage shampoo and conditioner (Tresemme makes one) if you want to prevent breakage more. I have long hair too and I straighten it and use a heat tamer. Its just loose strands of hair that fall out everyone has it but people that have long hair notice it more since their hairs long.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

bad diet... not getting enough of something, wtv is supposed to be good for your hair. i think vitamin k?

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

A number of things can cause excessive hair loss. For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may suddenly lose a large amount of hair. This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is temporary.

Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment of the thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance. Correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.

Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they've had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones. During pregnancy, high levels of certain hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out. When the hormones return to pre-pregnancy levels, that hair falls out and the normal cycle of growth and loss starts again.

Some medicines can cause hair loss. This type of hair loss improves when you stop taking the medicine. Medicines that can cause hair loss include blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, medicines used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants.

Certain infections can cause hair loss. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss in children. The infection is easily treated with antifungal medicines.

Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. Since hair loss may be an early sign of a disease, it is important to find the cause so that it can be treated.

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

It is completely normal to lose 75 to 150 strands of hair EACH DAY. This is very normal, and the longer your hair is, the more noticeable it tends to be, probably because the ones that naturally fall out get caught up in the rest of your hair, which of course makes it seem like there are chunks of it coming out when you run your hands through it.

There is no need to worry, or no remedy.

The only time you need to worry, is if there are indeed bald patches on your scalp, which may be a form of alopecia, typically caused from stress, and you should see your doctor

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

You should listen to Br8dqueen, cuz she's my girlfriend :) and she knows her craft ;)

What could cause hair to come out constantly?

There are several reasons this could be happening.

Are you eating enough protien?

Have you recently started a new medication?

Do you have other symptoms such as gaining abdominal weight and cold intollerance?

Have you been wearing your hair in an up-do more often recently or had a perm or color treatment?

Dietary changes can cause hair loss.

Medications, especially birth control pills or others containing hormones can cause hair loss.

Hair loss, cold intollerance and weight gain are symptoms of a thyroid condition. If you have these symptoms call your dr. Thyroid problems can lead to bigger things.

Having your hair done or wearing it up in a pony tail can loosen hair folicles and cause a little more hairloss than you may be used to.

Also, if you notice you are losing clumps of hair in other places,

eyelashes, eyebrows, pubic area. etc.... go see a dr. Propecia(sp?) is a disease that causes hair loss.

I hope that helps :-)

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

What is a good shampoo that can I use every day,I want to have stronger hair, and I want to grow new strands,in that pleaces when I lose tha hair.

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

Well if you have an actual problem with growing hair, or very thin hair, then you could try Nexxus... sold at wal-mart, drug stores, etc. Their shampoos/conditioners are specifically for thinning, hard to grow hair. My mom has used them and has found them to be very helpful. If your just looking for a regular volumizing, strengthening shampoo, try Garnier Fructis! I use it every day. It does not build up, and leaves my hair full, shiny, and smooth. The price is great too, under $3 at most places!

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

try halo its awesome

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

garnier frutis has a special shampoo and conditioner for making ur hair stronger!

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

oh i don't know all i know through using it myself is the pantene collection.

i have thick hair and it is a mess... without pantene well i wouldn't be able to drag my fingers through it!

it is a life saver.. after 20 years of sorting through all the hair care crap out there this pantene stuff works for me.

?

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

Gardiner Fruituis. It comes in bright green bottles, get the Length and Strength kind of shampoo and conditioner, It is $3.99 a bottle at drugstores!

It works!

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

it is not so much the shampoo and conditioner that helps because i used a strong hair shampoo and conditioner and my hair started to fall out

get an Aveda hair brush to help massage the scalp..

try Paul Mitchell Super Strong shampoo and conditioner..but not every day.

also buy Pantene Classic-shampoo and conditioner..and switch between the two of them

but the most important is to massage the scalp

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

I use TLK (silk shampoo and conditioner) I think it is new and it works great. You may want to try deep conditioning your hair. I usually get my hair done at the hair dressers. You can also ask the person that styles your hair or cuts it to see what is best for your typ of hair. I suggest stop dyein it and useing so many chemicals on it. It is bad for hair.

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

use "Mane 'N Tail" shampoo %26amp; conditioner which horses use... it's VERY helpful.

Shampoo\conditioner for stronger hair?

There is a great product line called Nioxen that is specifically for that. You get a shampoo, scalp therapy, and leave-in to nourish the follicles so new growth will occur. They also have styling products and finishing products. If you use it every day it will make your hair strong and help it to grow. It takes a while to start working though so give it about three months before you decide not to use it anymore.Good luck to you.

Is it ok to donate my hair?

I have been told by a lot of people that I have nice hair and well I was planning on getting it cut but I am thinking of letting it get longer so I can donate it to cancer patients. I know hair isn't the most important thing in the world but it really helps a lot of them when they lose their hair while undergoing chemo and I would like to do something nice. But I was wondering if there is anything in Islam that is said against doing such a thing.

Is it ok to donate my hair?

I can't imagine there would be anything in Islam against it, but I'm not very knowledgeable about Islam yet. I think that would be a wonderful thing for you to do and God will reward you for your kindness and generosity.

Is it ok to donate my hair?

Quite the opposite, I would say. I think it would be a good deed.

Is it ok to donate my hair?

That's really sweet. Sorry don't know anything about Islam, though.

Is it ok to donate my hair?

well the Sunnah in Islam is to bury it...

Is it ok to donate my hair?

Well, I'm not sure of this but from my knowledge I think it would be okay. I guess because you are doing a favour to those people~!

Does Zoloft cause hair loss?

I started Zoloft last Friday.. so I have only been taking it for 5 days. I have heard that it can cause hair loss. I feel like the last couple of days I have been losing a lot more than usual. Is it possible that I could already be seeing this side effect? Is hair loss even a side effect of Zoloft? Please help! It's starting to make me worried. The thought of losing my hair stresses me out even more!

Does Zoloft cause hair loss?

NO it doesn't .. i've been taking it for six years and it hasn't caused my hari to fall out! no worries! :)

Does Zoloft cause hair loss?

No it doesn't!! Stress can cause you to lose your hair!! Have you just recently had a baby? Alot of women lose some hair after having a baby!!!

Does Zoloft cause hair loss?

no, but if you're convinced enough that it's going to cause hair loss, you will have hair loss.

Does Zoloft cause hair loss?

Yes, all anti-depressants cause hair loss. Read on the pack or ask your doctor about side effects.

Strands of my hair is starting to fall out every, HELP?!?

I know 100 strands fall out of your head everyday but mine is starting to do it alot, not clumps or anything just strands, its really starting to piss me off lately because it never used to do it. Thats why I dont straighten or brush my hair anymore, I just let it be. What can I do to prevent this? or should I just not bother? It's not like "OMG im losing my hair!" but i never used to lose so many strands of hair. What can I do?

Strands of my hair is starting to fall out every, HELP?!?

I have the same problem as you. In fact, I think I am molting more than a cat. lol

I agree with you. It is very embarrassing as it shows on your clothes and where ever you sit... earlier as I vacumned I noticed that there was a lot of hair on the carpets. I don't have any pets so I can't blame them.

My hair is medium length and I now have my hair tied back most of the time as I find I seem to lose less hair that way. Or maybe I am just kidding myself. I have thought about having my hair cut short but if I do I may go completely bold. :(

Like you I have stopped blow drying my hair, using a hot brush and tongs. I have also stopped wearing hairspray. I was thinking about having my hair highlighted but have decided against it for fear I may cause more damage to my hair and therefore suffer with more hair loss.

Anyway... My hairdresser told me that my hair loss could be due to anxiety and stress. But as I am a strong positive person, and happy in life, I am not buying that.

So... I shall be interested in what answers you receive here. I hope you find a good solution.

Blessings x

Strands of my hair is starting to fall out every, HELP?!?

Get your thyroid level checked. This happened to me and I had an underactive thyroid.

If you dye it a lot it is likely breaking off. Trust me, ( I have been there) leave your hair alone, it will end up looking and feeling like straw. You are young, why dye it? Wait until you start getting greys.

Strands of my hair is starting to fall out every, HELP?!?

could be due to a potassium deficiency, make sure and take a regular multi-vitamin and eat potassium rich foods. also dont over process hair.

Strands of my hair is starting to fall out every, HELP?!?

Well do you die your hair alot? B.c I know that I die my hair like every 2 months and my hair is falling out and I'm only 15! So if you die your hair alot that could be part of it. Hope this helps!

Strands of my hair is starting to fall out every, HELP?!?

I know my hair is doing that too.. it never used to do that and i'm 16 now, i'm not a girl so i hope i wont go bald %26gt;.%26lt; every day i have an uncountable amount of hair strands falling out, I try to not shampoo my hair too much and you should probably think about that part of how often you wash your hair.. i know its annoying if it gets all oily but you have to ignore it and go through days without washing it.. my theory right now is that washing it will only make it worse

Missing hair?

My cat, her name is Blackie, has had two litter of kittens this year. Each time she lost the hair between her back legs and around the base of her tail. It looks like it might be slowly growing back. So maybe it was just the strain of giving birth twice. I have had her spayed since the last batch!!! Making that clear to everyone right now. So, my question is... does anyone know at home remedies that will help her leave that area alone? She licks the hairless area constantly and I want her to let it grow back? Thanks

Missing hair?

One of my cats had a similar problem. He was licking all the hair off his back. It turns out he has allergies. The vet gives him cortisone injections. It clear right up and he stops the constant licking. Every 3 to 6 months it shows back up, so I just take him in for another shot.

Missing hair?

I don't know any home cures but there are cetin creams for that kind of stuff.

Missing hair?

It might be the flea medicine u give her. When I give my cat flea medicine she starts biting her stomach and her hair goes missing. I have to use a certain kind of flea medicine so my cat doesn't loose all of her hair.

How many strands of hair do u lose everytime u wash your hair?

i lose about 30 - 5- strands everytime i wash is that a problem if it is please tell me wat to do to stop it from falling and even if it isnt its still good to noe wat i should do to stop hair from falling

How many strands of hair do u lose everytime u wash your hair?

i loose a lot of hair in shower, but my hair is pretty long. and i asked my stylist if i was balding and if it was normal... she said that its normal, and not to worry because we have soo much hair, it doesn't really matter...

How many strands of hair do u lose everytime u wash your hair?

It's been said we lose 50,000 strands of hair each year.

the old hair has to fall out so the new growth can come in. I would just be careful not to stretch the hair while brushing, tinting, combing ect.Keep your hair clean and fresh, use a good conditioner and just let it flow. Good Luck

How many strands of hair do u lose everytime u wash your hair?

It is normal to lose 100 a day,but I don't know how many when you shampoo.

How many strands of hair do u lose everytime u wash your hair?

No most people loose about 100 strands everytime they wash their hair. So loosing 30 strands is fine

How many strands of hair do u lose everytime u wash your hair?

When u get ur hair braided, and you dont comb ur hair 4 like 2 weeks, you comb out a big wad of hair.I have my hair braided, but I never take time 2 count.

How many strands of hair do u lose everytime u wash your hair?

hair grows at different rates and its normal to lose 40 to 100 hairs a day, if you notice more then that then its not, hair loss is caused by stress and also hormones and some medical conditions like low thyroid

Treatment for Hair Growth

------------------------

Hair loss has been a sensitive problem for men, since times immemorial. The two main causes of hair loss in

men are genetics and hormonal imbalances. 95% of men suffer from androgenetic alopecia or male pattern hair loss. But now the scientists have found out that the major cause of hair loss is DHT (dihydrotestostrone)....

Receeding hair line?

u are going to be bald in 4 months

Receeding hair line?

Its genetic and you can do very little if you are destined to go bald.

Is your Mother's Father Bald ? If yes then there is a good chance you will also go bald. The gene for baldness is passed down from your Maternal Grandfather.

Dont worry about it, being bald is cool these day !

Receeding hair line?

yes, you will be bald within 2 weeks.

Accutane Hair Loss?

I'm a 16 year old male and I've been on accutane for 1.5 months and I've lost some hair, especially in the front. I stopped taking the accutane 2 days ago because of this, and now I'm on biotin to help it grow back. Do you think it will grow back? I mean, I wasn't on accutane for that long.. I'm just really worried right now.

Accutane Hair Loss?

I took Accutane for a little bit of time too as a 26 year old male (I did not have acne until I was 24), but the drying effect was too much for me to handle. I did not experience any hair loss. My sisters took Accutane when they were 18 and 19 respectively, and they did suffer hair loss. Their loss was temporary and hair grew back after they stopped taking the medication. I haven't really heard of permanent hair loss from Accutane so I wouldn't worry too much. Most drug induced hair loss is temporary (such as from chemotherapy). You probably won't know for sure for at least a month or two, since hair grows very slowly (half an inch per month).

What important function does our body hair play? hair(head), armpit hair, pubic hair, beard, mustach

Our nose hair filters the air we breath and all I know about our hair (head) is it helps keep our head warm and makes some of us look good. But some people are able to live without facial hair, armpit hair and pubic hair (for some women). Are these people giving up something important by shaving or losing these hair?

What important function does our body hair play? hair(head), armpit hair, pubic hair, beard, mustache?

Some people think that pheromones are emitted and hairy 'bits" secrete more sweat than other parts.

To keep you busy shaving, cutting and taking care of them.

Curly Hair problem?

First off, Im not usually the kind of girl who obsesses about her hair, but I'm really lost right now lol

Ok, so my hair randomly became super curly this past summer, but I didnt really care because I've been straightening my hair this whole time (bad, I KNOW). But now Im thinking of straightening my hair less, because I like my tight curls. BUT I have no idea how to keep them tight and curly, as opposed to wavy and frizzy!

After my hair dries from washing it, the curls are springy and defined, but when I wake up the next morning their frizzy, wavy, and all over the place!

Oh and my hair is THICK, so if I dont brush it, it becomes HUGE.

So basically Im asking:

1.How do I comb/brush my hair without losing my curls?

2.How do I prevent the effects of sleeping on my curls?

Curly Hair problem?

My hair is more on the wavy side, but I get a fair amount of frizz because I live in Hawaii which can be extremely humid. So what I do with my hair might be helpful to you. When I'm going to wear my hair wavy, I make sure I'm using a shampoo and conditioner for wavy hair or curls, since you need to prepare your hair for whatever style you're choosing, while in the shower. Ouidad is great, and Pantene makes a good one, and is cheaper. I always make sure to deep condition once a week. My hairdresser told me to take a nickel size of my conditioner (if your hair is shorter, you'll probably want a dime size) and work it through my hair, AFTER my final rinse. I don't towel dry my hair, but I blot with old t-shirts after squeezing out as much as I can. I use Jonathan Product Curl Serum and I run it through my hair. Then I use John Frieda Frizz Ease (I've used way more expensive products and nothing works like it). I use about a quarter size because my hair is long. I just work it through my hair, from where my ears are, down to the root. Then I blow dry with a diffuzer. I try to touch my hair as little as possible when I'm doing this so that I don't create frizz. I also try to concentrate some air at the root, because a lot of time curls can be limp at the crown and then almost create a pyramid look because they're fuller throughout the rest of the head. Not cute. After I'm done blow drying, I use John Frieda grooming cream (or maybe it's called glossing cream. You'll know what I mean when you see it at the store) and I use about a nickel size of the Frizz Ease serum again, to smoothe my hair out and make it shiny. Then I twist my hair up into a bun and leave it that way for about an hour, and when I let my hair down, I have amazing curls that stay that way for a while (like, more than a day.) If you want, you could actually use a curling iron to curl a few sections. This will create more definition and even if some sections turn a little limp and frizzy, the hair that you curled with retain the curl, and that will create a more more curly, less frizzy look. And then after I've let my hair down or curled it, I finish everything with some shine spray. I am using one from Frederick Fekkai. Your hair should look incredible if you follow these steps, and it should stay that way. Yes, I know that it's kind of a hassle, but curly and wavy hair does need to really be babied and worked with in order for it to look its most beautiful.

And what I do for my hair is that use a wide comb in the morning, and then twist it up until I need to leave the house. During the day, I finger comb. Then, at night, before bed, I brush it out, and I braid it. In the morning, my hair might be slightly less curly than before, but it's still smooth and pretty.

And one more thing, don't wash your hair more than three times a week, because you'll dry out and damage your hair. If you HAVE to wash it (lets say you worked out and just rinsing the hair won't cut it), use a very gentle shampoo, dilute it with water, and then wash it. Don't repeat. And make sure use some conditioner if you do that.

I hope I could help.

Curly Hair problem?

get a curl defining lotion

Curly Hair problem?

gel

Curly Hair problem?

... i can't really answer question 1. because to me.. it seems that if anyone with curly hair brushes it through.. it'll just make the curls look ... bad. .. for question 2. try showering in the morning... instead of the nite before... because then you don't sleep in them.. and they don't get all frizzy/ all over the place!

Curly Hair problem?

get an anti frizz shampoo or creme.

Curly Hair problem?

1. i dont know

2.wash your hair in the morning

Curly Hair problem?

1. Use a comb with wide teeth ( sticky out bits)

2. Sounds weird ... but it works. Get some old tights and tie your hair up in them ( high ) this should keep them normal.

From your pic your haiir looks b-e-a-utiful :)

Wish i had it

Hope ive helped x

Curly Hair problem?

In the morning, spend some time wetting, brushing, and blow drying your hair. To get tight curls, Comb it in the moring instead of brushing.

Curly Hair problem?

use a wide bristle comb or pick and try a night cap seems old fashioned I know but it works

Curly Hair problem?

ok heres what u do... you go to this health and beauty store called, Origins. then u by this thing called hair dresser... cuz i have that and it works perfectly for me!!!! just get some on ur hand and run it through your hair (when its dry)

Curly Hair problem?

1. do not brush that will just make it worse try using a pick

2. put ur hair up when you sleep your curls wont become as frizzy

hope this helps

Curly Hair problem?

Take a shower at nighttime and brush them out. when you wake up get your hair wet, brush it again then put mouse on our hand and scrunch your hair, it'll make it curly again.

Curly Hair problem?

You should never brush your curls. I have big hair too, but it will get very frizzy if you brush it.

I sometimes use the John Frieda "Secret Weapon" smoothing serum, I just put a drop in my hair before I go out and my frizz goes away.

As for sleeping on it though, I don't think there's any way to keep your curls from going a bit flat. I usually just shower in the morning to solve this problem.

Curly Hair problem?

use mousse (sp?) once you have brushed it, preferably when it is wet/damp, squirt some in your hand and scrunch it into your hair... this is a quick hold and it'll become better once its dry.

Curly Hair problem?

You have no choice but the brush your hair when its wet. Just to get the tangles out plus get the fallen hair out, and regulate ur blood circulation. After that u will have to rely on hair gel and hair spray totally to keep those tight curls and not her ur hair all frizzy. Deep condition regularly and oil em too.

Curly Hair problem?

i have the exact same problem....

all i use is herbal essence shampoo and conditioner for wavy curly hair...it keeps it nice and shiny...and also after that i use an Asian product called Livon it keeps my hair from becoming frizzy and puffy....

dont blow dry your hair much...

and come it with a round brush straight down and dont pull on it...at night to preventit form losing the curls...tie a braid...

hope this helps

:D

Curly Hair problem?

try running your fingers through your hair instead of actually brushing it as this is gonna wreck your curls and make them realy really frizzy.

its old fashioned but people used to wear hair nets to bed to preotect their hairstyles, if that doesnt work jus rub some gel onto your hands and smooth through your hair reshaping your curls.

Curly Hair problem?

i have excatly the same problem. your best bet is not brushing your hair with a comb/brush at all. i know it seems gross but if you use your fingers to comb your hair then they stay in that excact shape and don't get all frizzy. also try putting in leave in conditioner right after you get out of the shower. it'll help the curls retain their shape. and for your sleeping problem, i would invest in a satin pillowcase. regular cotton ones suck out the moisture which is the last thing you want. satin ones are perfect and keep your hair nice and soft.

hope this helps!!!

Curly Hair problem?

1.use a round brush

2.still sleep on them but in the A.M. use a curler

Curly Hair problem?

You need to embrace the type of hair you have. You should buy a wig brush to comb your hair. You should wrap up your hair. You could also try the wear-ed curl look.

Curly Hair problem?

Well one thing you could do is shower in the mornings, and use leave in conditioner. But since that may be a hassle, use a wide toothed comb and use this: http://tigihaircare.us/tigi/bedhead/arch... It should work pretty well for what you're looking for.

:)

Curly Hair problem?

you CANNOT brush curly hair whilst it is dry/drying otherwise the curls will seperate and the natural curl pattern is detroyed. i have curly hair and have to wash and style it every day. there is now way of sleeping on curly hair and having the style the next day.. you can try spitzing it with water in the morning to try get it to curl again but they dont hold for as long. It is a fact that curly hair can't be brushed while dry so carry around a product such as Secret Agent by John Frieda- Frizz ease to smooth your curls during the day.. i have naturally curly hair.. so does my mother and aunt.. neither of us really straighten it a lot so take my advice, i should know!! lol talk to your hair dresser, they'll tell you the same thing. =( it's annoying to have to constantly wash and style everyday. But u soon get used to the routine Xx

Listen to good charlie bad charlie, she's right lol! in GB it is called secret agent, but i think it's called whatever she said in America lol. Serum is really good too. don't even use a wide tooth comb, it still separates your curls- causing frizz

Curly Hair problem?

i would start taking a shower in the morning then if you dont want to sleep on your curls and when you get out of the shower towel dry as much as you can adn dont use gell either becuase it will make your hair heavey and your curls will weigh down, when you brush it use a wide comb and towl dry and also scrunch it, you can use your hands for the scrunching but you can do it with a towel to, also use a product called ringlet 07 and its made by REDKEN, just put some on your hands and just run your fingers through your hair and also scrunch some more, if your hair is still pretty wet scrunch with a towl to get some wetness out and to also keep the body in your hair, put in as much as you need to contol your hair and you should look gorgious

Curly Hair problem?

First of all, if your hair is really thick, I would suggest you thin it out at a salon or get your hair cut into layers.

You should buy marc anthony's Strictly Curls products, they keep the curl and eliminate the tangles and frizz. I have used these products for ever, and I'm really happy with the result. As soon as you come out of the shower, just brush your hair and apply the product.

For the sleeping-on-curls thing, buy a silk pillowcase and the Strictly Curls product should hold the curls bouncy.

If you feel you need a little more definition in your hair still, try twisting little pieces of your (wet) hair before you go to bed to keep the springyness.

Curly Hair problem?

1. Brush your hair while it is wet- this gets the tangles out and will not frizz like when it will when it is dry. After you brush i would advise putting in a type of curling styler ( ex. curl power or curling cream by big sexy hair- we sell this for less than $20 at the salon i work at) this will help eliminate the friz and keep the texture of the curls.

2. To avoid sleeping on the curls and having fresh curls i would take a shower in the morning ( the products mentioned allow you to towel dry-add product %26amp; go) but if that is not an option i would say either wet hair with a spray bottle and enter product in the morning or put your hair up in a braid or bun until you can style it in the morning.

ps: maybe consider getting you hair thinned out with a razor...this will eliminate some of the bulkiness (huge) an you can keep the length and bouncy spirals =) good luck

Curly Hair problem?

I have naturally curly hair, so I totally understand!

What I do, I TIE up my hair when I go to bed. I do a low ponytail. or a low bun, because ponytail's leave a wave. Brush it a little bit after you take a shower, then tie it up in a bun and go to sleep. I have done this for a long time and it works great! It keeps your curls tight and nice! If you are in a rush, DON'T leave your hair down. The moisture in the air affects your hair's frizziness! Trust me, I've done this. So... tie it up, and then let it free once in a while, but when you feel the frizziness coming back up, then tie it back again. So mostly, you should ALWAYS have a hair tie with you! Oh, and also, don't blow dry your hair. It makes it even MORE frizzier!

Curly Hair problem?

your hair is exactly like mine.

heres a pic.

http://i32.tinypic.com/a3js6s.jpg

annndddd

heres what i do.

i use extream moisturizing shampoo every other night, not every night, otherwise it gets too frizzy.

i use curl conditioner and let it sit in my hair for a couple of minutes.

i only comb my hair when i get out of the shower.

then i about a pingpong ball sized wad hand lotion on my hair [while its still kinda wet] and comb through my hair with my fingers before i got to bed.

when i wake up, its a jumbled mess.

first, spray a bit of detangler on it ends.

next, take a defrizzer and spread a decent amount of that on your big puffy mess we call hair. lol

then, take a curl boosting mousse and run it through your hair enough so you can gentlely run your fingers through it.

finally scruch it just a little.

it sounds like a lot of work, but really it isnt.

it takes me about ten minutes in the morning.

it wont look perfect at first but if you get the hang of it,

you will have amazingly defined, tight curls.

products i recomend:

*herbal essences totally twisted curl boosting mousse.

*herbal essences none of your frizzness smoothing leave in cream

i hope this helps!!!

email me if you want more ideas.

Curly Hair problem?

Curly Hair problem?

woah

my hairs thick too

and i hate it

lol

sorry i dont really know how 2 answer your question.

=]

GL

Curly Hair problem?

dont comb ur hair once its dried, itll make ur hair poofy. use mousse to gather curls or a curling serum. use a wide toothed comb to just get the worst of ur hair tamed.

i cant answer the second question. i honestly dont know

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

Ok so this is like a totally ramdom question but im being serious!

gawd...ok so when i brush my hair it falls out like not all of it but like little peices here and there, and i get really mad and think that im going to go bald. So is it normal to lose some hair when you brush it and can you go bald from it???

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

Yeah of course it is! You won't go bald! Thats crazy! lol! Mine does that but mabey from 5-7 strands. Yeah! 閳?br>If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

its normal . i have really thich hair and i brush my hair and so much hair comes out .trust me. your not going bald

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

everyone looses some hair when they brush it. you loose like 20 strands a day. You won't go bald from this.

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

yes, i BELIEVE TYPICAL HAIR LOSSis about 100 strands perday

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

totally! it is sooooo normal.... when i brush my hair ALOT of peices come out. atleast 20. and i still have tonssssss of hair! dont worry about it. you wont go bald ( at least not when you are young!) haha =]

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

Haha! Ur funny. One of the reasons we brush our hair is to get all the hair that falls out, wich is replaced by new hair. Why do you think brushes have hair in them. Smae as a dog. We brush them to get the hair.

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

It so normal but watch it though my cousin got bald...well hers was totally damage hair and it all died so they just started falling out... but if your not doing anything weird in your hair it should be good and really normal...

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

its normal if you saw mine you would think im balding too but i have really thick hair so don't worry about it

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

your not going bald..its perfectly common to lose bits of hair (especially with really thick hair)

If you love yor hair please awnser my question!!?

yea, it is normal, but its falling out bcuz ur brushing too much, don't brush as often and everything will be fine. trust me

I have a rapid hair falling, i have severe dandruff,?

DON'T ACCEPT HAIR-LOSS. MAKE THEM STRONG FROM THE ROOTS. Use "Segals" Brand of hair care and treatment products, imported in India from Canada. The products have a large clientele among the quality-conscious and upwardly mobile customers in various countries including the USA, Canada, France, Australia and Hong-Kong.

The products are revolutionary and the product range consists of a wide range of Formulations, Shampoos, Conditioners, Supplements, etc all manufactured for a precise and specific application to achieve desired results. The products are a highly concentrated and balanced compound of rare and exotic botanical herbs and other active ingredients including antioxidants. Needless to say, all the products are effectively pH balanced, without side-effects and are GUARANTEED for visible results. The product range has been successfully test-marketed in India.

Specific to your problem, it is stated that hair loss starts due to an improper hair-cell metabolism. Good nutrition is important to have thick, full, luxurious hair with bounce, shine and proper texture. To ensure good quality hair growth and texture, the hair root needs a constant supply of oxygen and nutritional substances, which it obtains from the blood. The starved hair follicle needs to be nourished from within. The lack of proper nutrition to the hair root and follicle and unbalanced vitamin intake leads to tired hair and subsequent hair loss. Apart from lack of nutrients, Stress also causes hair-loss by the constriction of capillaries which feed the hair follicle. Stress also causes excessive perspiration attracting airborne debris and pollutants, thus clogging the hair follicles, leading to hair-loss.

We suggest you to use a herbal supplementation formulated from the best known herbs for healthy hair growth from roots. The rare herbs and active ingredients that help so are Fo-Ti, Stinging Nettle, Kelp, SawPalmetto, Silica, Rosemary, Inositol, Biotin and Horsetail.

We recomment to you the following for a minimum period of 3 months for visible results leading to reversal of the premature greying of your hair :

i) Segals Hair Root Formula: For cleaning the scalp and revitalizing the root of the hair for new hair growth. It makes the root free of all sebum, grime, flakes and dirt thereby strengthening the root and thus encouraging hair to grow. The blood circulation in the root is considerably enhanced, laying the foundation for healthy hair growth. To be applied on the scalp every night before bed. Not sticky. Will get absorbed in the scalp on its own.

ii) Segals Advanced Hair Root Supplement: For stimulating hair-cell metabolism and strengthening the connective tissue. Active ingredients in the Supplement have a nutritional ability to not only grow back lost hair but also restore hair to its natural colour and strength. Contains rare herbs like Fo-Ti, Saw-Palmetto, Kelp, Stinging Nettle, Inositol, Biotin, Horsetail and Silica, apart from other active botanical extracts, which are proven to show healthy hair growth from the roots.

Alongwith the Formulation and Hair Supplement suggested above, you need to you use Shampoo/Conditioner specific to arrest these problems. You may require to use Segals Hair Root Shampoo and Segals Hair Root Conditioner. There are a host of products of the same Brand, available for Damaged Hair, Dry Hair, Permed Hair, Colour Treated Hair, Dandruff, etc. You will have to choose the Shampoo / Conditioner depending upon the condition of your scalp/hair, for which you yourself are the best judge. Please don't use any commercial shampoos available in the market that contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate / Cocamide / Propylene Glycol / Sodium Chloride / Artificial Colouring or Pearlizing Agents. Avoid perming and blow-drying for atleast 2-3 months while using the specified products, till the effects are visible and stabilise.

Please remember that these products are not mass-marketing, commercial products but are Professional products, created by a Qualified Pharmacist-Doctor in Canada and meant only for quality-conscious people. The fact that the products carry a 100% money-back guarantee in U.S and Canada should convince you about their effectiveness. All products are natural extracts and have no side-effects. The effectiveness of these products is backed by scientific research and clinical trials. These products are a better, safe and effective answer to various chemical formulations available in the market. There is no better, rather no other product available in the Indian market that contains the ingredients specified above and show such stupendous results. I assure you that you will regain the strength, volume, bounce, shine, length and texture of your hair back with consistent usage of these products.

Dog hair loss?

My dog has lost some hair on his neck, what could I use to stop it?

Dog hair loss?

Is he wearing a collar? Is it on too tight? Have u used frontline or any other flea and tick medication he might be allergit too? is he scratching alot? You should check out all these things maybe he is allergit to his collars material.. Some dogs because of old age get allergies.. Take him to the vets I know he prob dosnt enjoy the hairloss and itching.. :)

Dog hair loss?

if your dogs hair loss is on the back of the neck where flea killer goes? stop the poison. this happened to mine too! i think its the flea killer. too weird to be anything else. same exact spot?

Dog hair loss?

My lab started losing some hair because, as it turned out, she had allergies. We switched her food to a salmon-based brand instead of beef or chicken and that worked. Her coat got fuller and shinier.

My little dog, however, started losing some hair on his face and back legs and got dry flaky skin in those places because he had demodectic mange. I guess all puppies come in contact with this from their mothers when they are born but it only affects some dogs and can be triggered by a lot of different things. We took him to the vet for special dips and, it's taken a few dips and a month to heal, but it's looking like he's getting better.

Since you don't know what's wrong, I would take the dog to the vet, unless you can think of a logical explanation, like a collar or something.

Dog hair loss?

that might be a disease, go to the vet

Do I have a hair loss problem?

I am only 19 years old, and just about 3 months ago I have noticed myself losing more hair then I usually do. I shed a lot, when I comb my hair after showering about 15-20 strands come out, is this normal? Sometimes I'll find stray hairs on my clothes or occasionaly I'll pull at the ends of my hair and one or two strands will come out. I've been growing my hair out and havent gotten a haircut since April 2006, could this be the reason for all the shedding? If not, is it normal that I see loose hairs and that I shed? I haven't noticed that my hair has thinned out or anything, just the shedding. Please help me, tell me if this is normal for someone of my age or not. I'm really upset and worried even though my mother and friends have told me its absolutley normal :(

Do I have a hair loss problem?

It is completely normal to shed 50 - 80 hairs a day. Everyone does. Unless the hair left on your head is thinning, don't worry at all. Cutting the hair has nothing to do with it's growth from the roots. I shed a lot too, and have had thick hair all my life.

I took cosmetology and this is one of the things our instructor taught us. Hair goes through 3 stages, anagen, catagen, and telogen. One is growing, one is resting, and one is shedding. (I forget exactly which stage is which, though)

Do I have a hair loss problem?

nah sure ... check ur dermatologist i guess

Do I have a hair loss problem?

Do I have a hair loss problem?

Yes this is normal trust me i shed like a dog and i hate it so bad, its everywhere on my floor, my bed, blanket, when i take a shower, It just sucks, but it is normal.. Humans lose between 50 to 100 strands, Which if you think about it is a good bit, but everyday we grow more hair to.So dont worry and good luck!!!!!!

Do I have a hair loss problem?

Hair styling tips?

I have hair that is a little past my shoulders in length, and it is a little on the thin side, especially because I have shorter layers (which I am in the process of growing out so my hair doesn't look so thin). The texture of my hair is a bit coarse because I do have some natural curl/wave to my hair. What I really need help with is straightening my hair with a straightener. Before I blow dry my hair (which is a MUST), I put in a volumizing hair product. I also use large velcro rollers to give my hair extra oomph. After blow drying I always straighten my hair with a straightener (Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron) because the texture of my hair is too frizzy/coarse to keep it as is. My problem is that after I straighten my hair, all of the volume and thickness that I got from blow drying and the rollers is gone. Is there any product or technique that I can use to straighten my hair without losing volume and thickness? Any help would be great! Thank you!

Hair styling tips?

Ok lets solve this problem. Layers are always great on thin hair because the layers hold one another up so you can see more fullness. Maybe you should go a little shorter the lenght can some times strech out the volume. Use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner make sure you use professional salon quality product, trust me it makes a world of difference. Don't over condition your hair because it weighs the hair down. When you blow dry your hair try turning your head upside down. Don't ever roll your hair up and then flat iron it drags the volume out. Instead flat iron your hair in small sections use the flat iron twist your wrist and kinda curl your hair at the roots practice makes perfect you will get volume. Also when you begin to do the crown area of the head try overdirecting the hair forward this creates volume at the top. Try out this product its by Matrix its called amplified in a blue bottle this goes on the roots it is exellent. Try some of these thing and let me know how it works out.

Hair styling tips?

When you flat iron your hair, you should hold your hair straight out from your head to get the most volume. If you pull it down, it will undo all your work from blowdrying. Also, when you're done.. it always helps me to hold my head upside down and use a little hairspray underneath.

How much hair do you guys generally lose on an average day?

You shed hair all day. The average hair loss is 80-100 per day. Because your hair is short, you don't see all of that.

How much hair do you guys generally lose on an average day?

My husband starting going bald at 18! He'd find alot of hair on his pillows each morning and in the shower. I think 10-20 a day is OK...

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

I have very very curly hair. I have been wanting to straighten it for a while. Straightening irons don't work on my hair. I have straightened my hair before with those kits. It's kinda the do-it-yourself hair straightening stuff for black people. But my hair ends up breaking and falling out after a short period. My hair is fully grown back, but it's so curly that the only thing I can do with it is put it in a ponytail. I really want my hair straightened, but I don't want to risk losing my hair again. I don't want to leave it in an afro and I don't want to buy a chi straightener because they are quite expensive. I'm 14, and I don't know what to do. Salons are expensive because I'll have to go back every 3 weeks for touch-ups. I really want to do something different with my hair before school starts(aug.30th) Does anyone have any suggestions? If you have a hairstyle could you please show me how to do them? Thank you very much in advance.

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

well it will cause you money cause you are trying to do something different to your hair but the CHI really works believe me i am 16 with real curly hair and i bought one and it works so could they sell oily drops and you but it in and then you staighen it and it will really work and leave your hair with a real good sleak and nice and also in wal-mart there are these things call hot drops and they will relax your hair so that you can stlye it the way you want and have you tryed a perm but what i really think you should get is the CHI you are going to pay but believe me you wont regret it cause it didnt...

i hope you findout something for the frist day of school ;)

p.s. :: if you decide to go with a perm make sur you get one that is for your tye of hair cause some are to strong and it could break your hair out cause that happen to me but be carefull

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

you need something called a "japenese perm" and it will permenently straighten your hair. ask ur hairstylist about it!

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

well you are going to have to touch up anyway you go unless your hair wont grow..so I dont know

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

umm...I'm not sure about this...but I have a friend who had kind of a wavy hair, but not like yours, how you describe it, but she told me that she was going to get a straight perm. I worked too. Why don't you try a straight perm? I might work, but it might now. My hair is naturally straight, but a but wavy at the end, just how I like it. But a for you, a straight perm might work. Or ask a hairstylist the next time you go to the barbers or something. I'm sure they'll know what to do.

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

Have you ever colored your hair? Color makes it much more manageable...Try coloring your hair with a dye that's the same as your natural color and it might start to behave.

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

the hair salons can do something to your hair and make it permenently straight i dont no if it will work on your hair but you should try asking about it next time you go get your hair done. or if you dont want to do that just go online and look up hair styles and find something else to do with it.

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

sorry to say this but i dont think you can...

try looking things up and just try it if u think it can work..this is the best i can do scince i am whit with hair that is straightest line possible (lol jk)

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

grl i know ur problem mine is soooooooo frizzy and curly and puffy! i didnt know what to do for a long time if u dont want to get a perm because of money cost u could always get that gel and scrunch ur hair with it it will make it thinner but still curly i got a $30 staitner called wet to dry and thats what i have to use to staighten it it takes me about and hour to do that to get mine staight but its worth it you could try the bun thing with ur hair also if that doesnt work all i can say is that your hair should look great no matter what it looks like and the only thing that worked for me was to flat iron it! hope it helps

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

your cancelling out all of your options.

1)you can either get a relaxer by a professional or by someone who knows what they are doing.

2) get a ceramic flat iron....the cheap ones damage your hair

3) find a different hairstyle.

your best option is just to buy a $60-80 ceramic flat iron. That is how much you spend at a salon to get your hair relaxed, but buying using a flat iron you are saving money and time that you would spend at a salon. i've heard that the chi and sedu are the best. go to www.folica.com and look at the reviews

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

why don't you just wear your hair curly? you can use garnier sleek n' shine to make your curls more manageable and loosen them a little.

I want to permanently straighten my hair?

get a perm but don't roll it ok keep combing it straight and this will straighten you hair.

your other chose it to go and have it straightened but this is just how they do it ok try it just watch your time it stays on just like a perm.

My hair is getting really thin and it is falling out. Will it grow back?

I have coloured my hair 3 times in my life, always blond (last time in Oct) but I used to iron it frequently (at least 3 times per week but not any more). I first noticed I was losing my hair last March, but didn't worry too much about it. It is very noticeable now as it has got much worse in the past two months. I used to have a lot of strong, thick hair. Now it is very, very thin and it breaks. My "part" is really wide and I can clearly see my scalp, it seems to be happening mainly on the front (it is also receding but at the moment it doesn't look abnormal). Both, my mother and my father have a lot of hair and so have their brothers and sisters, but two of my mother's uncles are completely bald. I'm doing a degree course but Im only on my first year and I'm not stressed or pregnant. I'm female, I am 32 and I'm really scared. Will my hair grow back?

My hair is getting really thin and it is falling out. Will it grow back?

Sounds like your hair is breaking off. Who does your bleach? If you over-lap the product repeatedly, it can cause the hair to break. This can happen if you perm it, too. (Doing both a bleach and a perm is a definite no-no) Does your hair feel like plastic when it's wet? Does it break easily when you pull on it? It will grow back, as this does not affect the hair bulb, but no more chemicals. Until then, invest in some really good conditioner and leave it as natural as possible. (Air-dry, no ironing, etc.) Hope this helps.

My hair is getting really thin and it is falling out. Will it grow back?

Just a quick thought - check out your local health food store for a shampoo and cond - your crown and glory - it seems to be helping two ple I know. Also, do a search on DHT - I think it is more related to men - but still worth reading up on.

My hair is getting really thin and it is falling out. Will it grow back?

This truly scares me too, when you said iron I hope you did not mean the iron you use on your clothes.Anyway, rule #1 too much heat damages your hair espeacially if you are not moisturizing it.First I need to know if its possible for you to send me a pic of yourself if not here's what you need to do for starters.DO NOT put another hair dye in you hair at this moment because 1.You will permanently damage your hair cells and 2. It will cause brain damage or cancer. You need to cut your hair not boyish but a style that will suit your face, use a soft brush and brush your hair regularly to allow stimulation. Please DO NOT use any heat until your hair gorws back properly.Wash your hair every two weeks with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, when finished use a moisturizing leave in conditioner.Brush your hair before you go to bed at moisturize it.

My hair is getting really thin and it is falling out. Will it grow back?

Massage aloe Vera gel over the scalp, leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives excellent results for hair loss if one uses this massage at least 3-4 times a week. Check out

How much hair is it healthy to lose per day?

I have curly hair and i lose about a pea size ball of hair per day. is that normal?

How much hair is it healthy to lose per day?

you loose on average 75-100 a day. if you don't brush your hair and wash it everyother day or something you loose two days worth at once!

yes that is normal.

How much hair is it healthy to lose per day?

lucky you!

i feel like i lose about a handful of hair a day...at least!

Your fine :)

How much hair is it healthy to lose per day?

Its normal your fine.

How much hair is it healthy to lose per day?

yeah that's normal- i lose about that amount, too. i used to lose a lot more, but if you take Vitamin C tablets, you will see a decrease in hair loss- at least, I did.

How much hair is it healthy to lose per day?

yes it is normal you loose 100- 150 hairs a day, you loose hair and you don't even notice it. If you feel it is to thin then see your stylist also the longer and darker the hair the easier it is to see that you lost it

I have candy floss hair and have had perms forever!?

My hair is so thin that I need perms to give some body and volume.

This is the first that did not turn out, but it does dry the hair and I also seem to lose more hair after a perm. I always go to an Aveda shop and usually they use a Matrix perm, but this time (The bad perm was an Aveda. Any suggestions here?

I have candy floss hair and have had perms forever!?

Apply anti-frizz or a light hair wax after you wash your hair (while it's still damp) and rub it through the ends. If you want to make your hair look fuller, why not try hair extensions? Let the perm grow out and give your hair a break - All the chemicals you are exposing it to are ruining your hair and scalp.

I have candy floss hair and have had perms forever!?

maybe its just now taking its tole on your hair! i would definately stop, your going to make it thinner!!!!

I have candy floss hair and have had perms forever!?

I would suggest that you add mousse and hairspray...

The problem is, you're killing your hair. The stress that you put on your hair causes your hair to stop growing.
