Do u think my GP will be able to help or refer me to some kind of specialist? ~Just wonder~

Beware, there are thousands of products out there that advertise "miracle hair growth", they are rubbish, only a very few have ever had very limited effects if any at all. Balding tends to be hereditary and is carried in your genes. The only way your GP may refer you for some help is if you are diagnosed with alopecia.
The only option that sort of works is hair transplants (where hair is actually stitched into your scalp) but that is pretty expensive and I should imagine very painful.
The only other option is to accept it, find different ways to style your hair etc, not many people will judge you by your hair (or lack of it) so just try and adjust to it.
Good luck with whatever you choose and hopefully you will find hapiness.

Definitely talk to your GP about your options. You may have to try a couple things before you find the right mix. For myself i use rogaine, but i've been thinking of adding this new thing with the rogaine. It's called a laser comb, it uses focused light to stimulate the hair follicles. I figure i'll give it a try. Anything to stave off looking like my dad.

Native Americans don't have much hair loss because they:
@eat (at least they used to) a low calorie, low fat diet;
@eat foods high in zinc, and saw palmetto
@exercise daily (regular exercise rather than sporadic, muscle-building exercise, e.g. going to the gym);

I would see you Gp before trying anything as an itchy scalp indicates a skin condition which may need prescription medication, shop bought products might be making it worse.

Male pattern baldness is caused by a tin deficiency, no lie. Try taking a supplement rich in tin.

Someone mentioned that American Indians had little hair loss. The same is true of Japanese before the Second World War because they ate such a low fat diet, or so they say.
See your doctor to rule out any under laying health problems. Consider taking propecia. I'm not sure if it's called that in the UK or not.
To have healthy hair, you have to be healthy. That means reducing stress levels, try to get enough sleep and eat right.
B vitamins, zinc and iron are what you need to help grow hair. Plus protein. Try eating more tuna. Before you grow hair, it's going to slow down the loss and then stop.
Look at your male relatives. It could be genetic, but today, you don't have to resign yourself to your genetics.

I have suffered really bad hair loss and it was very much all of a sudden. In 2004 I had beautiful perfect hair and from summer of 2005 all of a sudden i started losing hair. I tried many things such as Nanogaine, saw palmetto oil, but the worst thing I did was embark on a 600 pound 12 week treatment course at Neetas Herbal in Bury (next to Manchester), UK. Neetas Herbal is hair loss treatment therapy clinics located in many countries and in the UK. The lady there assured me after the free consultation that her therapy and products work and after one week my hair loss would stop. I embarked on this course and fully immersed myself in this course but my hair loss stayed the same and although i completed the course I realised that the clinic itself actually was very much a rip-off. I also tried Folligro (fenugreek and beta-sitosterol spray) products vigorously for a good 4 months but that just didnt do anything.
My GP was useless and was of absolutely no help whatsoever and the specialists really just recommend the usual stuff of proscar and Minoxidil. One saturday early this year I bought the Mirror newspaper and at the back was an advert for Profol shampoo by the JULIAN JAY CLINIC based in Leeds. There was a free trial of 1 week profol shampoo being offered so with nothing to lose apart from a postage stamp I ordered the shampoo. Absolutely amazing. The shampoo more or less stopped the hair loss. I was guaranteed the shampoo would stop my hair loss and start regrowing my hair though id have to be patient regarding the regrowth but stopping hair loss was a start. I use the Advanced Profol shampoo which has carrot oil and many other natural ingredients as it is a pure organic shampoo.
I would recommend you go to their website and order or atleast order a trial sample of the profol shampoo and speak to the advisors at the Julian Jay clinic. www.julianjay.com. You will be suprised
I would also advise you speak to Peter Bannister, master biosthetician of the Hale Clinic in London. http://www.trichology.uk.com/
Finally I would also recommend you take good sources of food energy such as black seed oil, Honey, which d contain all the nutrients and minerals needed by the body and to control hormonal inbalances within the body and to maintain good health and good blood circulation
I hope I am of help to you

I started to loose my hair in my early 20's, I just shaved it all off and never looked back. I've more to worry about than loosing it. My dad's bald so I just thought there's no use fighting genetics and just accepted it.
With fashion the way it is no one really cares now anyway.

use rogaine %26amp; propecia, these are the ONLY two products clinically-trialled for hairloss with proof they maintained %26amp; regrew hair...male pattern baldness is a hormonal condition, tin deficiency does NOT cause it..

I hear you there. The hairs are lost in cycles - about 6 cycles for the whole of the head - so when it is shed the hairs are slowly not replaced. Washing your every day will accelerate the process, as will vigorous towel drying.
It sounds like you 'may' be at the beginning of what we all dread. The only real advice worth taking is to not pay 鎷㈡嫝鎷?$$ for the miracle cures. Believe me, if there was one I would know all about it.

Your hair is losing out rapidly. Use something to slow down and minimize this hair loss. Sooner or later you'll lose more hair if you don't do this. Is your hair thinning? Then use this.

I have been reading a bit about Pregnenoline and it is supposed to help, works fast too, for stopping the hair from falling out. Not sure about putting it back in though.
